"We stayed there one night as we were headed to the airport in the morning. The staff were amazingly kind and helpful. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. 10 out of 10 would stay there again. And the breakfast was fabulous!"

"Everything was perfectly fine. The staff didn't speak English, as is common in Ecuador, but using Google Translate worked fine.
The property is just around the corner from the Planetario, which was worth the quick trip. It is within a 15-minute walk from the Cathedral.
I craved junk food while I was there, and McDonald's is a block away. Good salads.
The receptionist told me my room was small and offered another, but it was on the ground floor, so - no stairway. I was just a party of one, so...

"Located in El Centro near Mecrcado 9, Hotel Yanuncay has easy access to local shopping and restaurants. Catching a taxi is easy and most rides around Cuenca take little time.
The hotel has an elevator and on site parking.
Although the staff does not speak English, they are very accommodating and work hard to make your stay enjoyable."

"The advantage was that the hotel is within walking distance of the main bus terminal and close to a tram stop. The shower also had amply supply of hot water. But the staff could use with better training in customer service. You should not have to wait several minutes when you arrive at 5:30 pm for someone to open up the door to check you in. The staff also had trouble finding my reservation once I did check in. "

"Restored OLD colonial style property with beautiful central covered atrium/patio area where breakfast is served and where there’s a simple restaurant in the evening. Floors CREAK. Like most places in Ecuador, hot water for Showers depends on a calefone (direct gas heating of the pipes the water flows through), which means hot water depends on rate of flow, how many people are showering at the moment, how far your room is from the calefone, and how much gas is in the tank. Staff were eager to...

"The hotel was well situated and easy to get to. Walking distance to many activities, shops churches and museums etc Room was nice and clean each time we returned from our outings. The only inconvenience was not being able to go out early for church service as the hotel was closed until 7.30am. A Comfortable stay in beautiful city that Cuenca turned out to be. "

"Yo pensaba que por el precio iba a ser un hotel regular, pero al llegar a la habitación me doy cuenta que el baño no tenía la parte del asiento y la tapa, luego ya acomodándome me doy cuenta que las sábanas y cubrecamas estaban de color amarillo y con un pequeña pinta de sangre… de las almohadas ni hablar, tuve que pedir nuevas sábanas porque era realmente desagradable. El desayuno no fue lo que esperaba, totalmente decepcionada!"
