Concern Regarding Bedbug Bites During Stay
I am writing to let other potential customers understand the issue I had during my recent stay at the Fairfield Inn and how the Fairfield Inn staff handled it.
Upon waking up after my first night, I noticed several bites on my body, which I later identified as bedbug bites. I promptly reported this to the front desk and showed them the affected areas.
Later that day, the General Manager contacted me to inform me that a check of the room revealed no signs of bedbugs. However, as the day went on, the bites continued to spread and worsen, as evidenced by the attached pictures. I have experienced bedbug bites before, so I am familiar with their appearance and sensation.
Although the hotel allowed me to cancel my second night without penalty, I feel that a refund for the first night is warranted, given the discomfort I endured. The GM mentioned that there had never been a complaint about bedbugs at your hotel, but I find it concerning that she confidently stated my bites were not from bedbugs, despite admitting she had no experience with them, having worked at the Fairfield Inn.
