Lovely place to stay, beautiful rooms and amenities. Right on the heart of the city and nightlife including a rooftop bar on top of the hotel. Being so close to the nightlife is the only slight negative, the noise and lights went well into the early hours also there is abditional $50 a day for parking

Poor start
The welcome to the hotel was not very good. Check in time was 2pm however we were not given our keys until 3.45pm. During this check in, there was no time frames given for when we might get in, no one took our bags and there was no welcome drink provided. For a 5 star hotel this is very poor. The room is contemporary and new. The location of the hotel is good. The New Years Party was well organised.

Rough start but finished planing our next stay
The stay started out a bit underwhelming with a few miscommunications as well as an alarm going off in the middle of the night. However, it’s all about how you handle a situation like that and the managment did a fantastic job of making up for it and we are now already planning to come back. The hotel is modern and funky with great amenities and super comfortable rooms that you would expect from a Sofitel branded hotel. The location is excellent situated in the Britomart district and surrounded by many great cafes, shops, restaurants, bars and a short walk to the water front and ferry terminal. We will be back!
