    Great hotel for business trips to this area

    Stayed at Lautrup Park for business so location was perfect for me, but it is in the middle of an industrial estate with little close by so would only really be suitable for people needing to be in the area unless they wanted to use the nearby Malmparken train station to get into Central Copenhagen. There was, however, a supermarket opposite. The staff were exceptionally friendly both in reception and in the restaurant. Breakfast and dinner were both very good. I had a small room but bed was comfortable. The room was clean and warm enough. I would stay here again and recommend to others wanting to stay in this part of Ballerup.

    This visit changed half way through. My first night was fine, the hotel is comfortable and the room was fine, very clean. The people working behind the bar and restaurant were great, and the food excellent. On the second night however I asked to send back a meal that arrived very different from the description in the daily specials menu, and instead asked for it to be replaced with a more expensive dish which was clearly described. At this point it seemed that I was "persona non-grata" and the atmosphere changed immediately, especially from the lady behind the bar. I was made to feel distinctly unwelcome from that point on. One major issue I think needs to be addressed by the hotel, and people need to be aware of, is that fact that the room doors stay electronically unlocked for about 5 seconds after leaving your room. If you are unaware of this you may be out of sight of your doorway within a second or so of leaving (even after ensuring that the door is fully shut) but someone could enter your room easily in the time it then takes for the lock to engage. Please be aware of this if you say in the hotel.

    The Hotel was a great location for my purpose but the surrounding area was mainly businesses so not a lot around it. The in Hotel restaurant had good food but a limited range, with nothing in the immediate area this could be boring if staying for a week. The rooms were strangely dark with no overhead lights, the room was lit by lamps that didn't appear to be controlled via switches so meant each one had to be turned on and off individually.
