Highly Recommend
We were here over the New Year's holiday. If you are looking for clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, accommodating staff in a convenient but quiet location, then this is the place for you. The rooms are not fancy but they are comfortable and quiet. From the bartender to the owners, and even the regulars at the pub, everyone made us feel welcome. The food and drink are solid - honestly, why waste your time at a crowded joint in the busier districts? Enjoy your time at Oil Can Harry's instead! You will get a feel for what Dublin is like even without stepping out the door. If you do step out, stroll down the street to Merrion Square, or go the other way to walk along the Grand Canal. The main tourist areas are within walking distance, but if you need to get a taxi, the staff will help you and have one waiting at the door. Stay here and enjoy what Dublin is really about.

Lovely, friendly place to stay - great location
We stayed at the Draper Rooms between Christmas and New Year. The rooms are located above 'Oil Can Harrys', a character Irish bar. All staff were welcoming and friendly, we arrived early to ask if we could drop our bags off, had a pint and the barman said it was fine if we wanted to check in immediately. This was great. The room was spotlessly clean and well stocked with coffee/tea and toiletries, and we immediately felt comfortable. The location is great too, about 15 minutes walk to Grafton Street and there are regular buses too. Its 10 minutes stroll to Grand Canal Dock or Pearse DART stations. Some very minor improvements could be made; the doors stick a little and there was loose carpet in one of the halls. The room we stayed in (room 1) was at the front of the property and there was traffic noise day and night, but this didnt cause any issues. Overall the accommodation has much more charm and a warmer welcome than a chain hotel. The bar and food is excellent. Would definitely stay again here.

Lovely boutique hotel
The room itself was lovely and in a great area of Dublin, walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. But what really sets this place apart is the service. The hotel is run by people who truly care about their guests and their facility, and it shows in everything they do. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Halloween treat
This is not a standard hotel but a pub with renovated rooms upstairs. Clean neat compact rooms with slide door showeroom within toilet/toiletries. No fridges but water boiler and the closest enough for two. Comfy bed but only for small sized couples. Location nearby businesses area close to brunch & breakfast cafe. National Gallery of Ireland and trinity college in walking distance of 10 minutes without luggage. Walking to 3Arena at night is a plus but around 30 minutes. Helpful Pub staff.
