This is an excellent hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom is stylish and industrial. It is well appointed, with ironing board, kettle, hairdryer etc. I love the location in the meat packaging district. Loads of great options for restaurants and bars. I especially liked Fermentoren at the end of the street. As I was traveling alone this was a nice relaxed and friendly place, where I didn’t feel out of place being solo. The hotel itself was very peaceful. I would definitely return.

Before arriving, I was slightly concerned that Scandic Kødbyen might be too far from the city centre, but those worries quickly disappeared. The lobby had a fantastic atmosphere, with stylish lighting, a lively bar and comfortable common areas. Our room was not particularly large, but it was cosy, comfortable and perfectly adequate. The bar also served great, creative drinks and had an impressive selection. I quickly fell in love with Kødbyen. There are good grocery stores just outside the hotel, a large shopping centre with plenty of quality shops about five minutes away, and a train station only a short walk from the entrance. Trains run frequently and take you directly into central Copenhagen, making the location very convenient despite not being right in the heart of the city. Kødbyen itself has a distinctive charm, with numerous niche restaurants, bars and independent shops. The area seems to have developed into one of Copenhagen’s coolest neighbourhoods in recent years. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful and eager to assist. They stored our luggage after check-out because our flight departed later that evening, answered all our questions and quickly helped us when we misplaced one of our key cards. The hotel was also very reasonably priced and offered some of the best value I could find in Copenhagen. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return.

We had booked a standard double room but on arrival the wonderful receptionist offered us an upgrade for a very reasonable rate. She also gave us some great recommendations for where to go in Copenhagen and circled some areas of interest on a map. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. It had all the amenities you could need such as ironing board, fridge, hairdryer, and tea and coffee. We were also given the choice of how often we wanted our room cleaned to help make our stay more eco-friendly and avoid unnecessary cleaning. The decor in the bar was very stylish and it was a great place to sit and chat. It was popular with the locals as well as hotel guests. The hotel is in a great location. The area is quieter than some other parts of the city but still has plenty to see and do. It’s easy to get to other parts of the city as the train station and metro are close by. I would definitely stay here again.
