Tiny room with no private bathroom but super cheap
Checking in and out was relatively easy. I did not know that this was a hostel type of hotel but with individual rooms. If I were by myself, no problem, but I was with my mom who was uncomfortable. It's cheap though and that's the bonus as I had more funds to spend on delicious food. It's an 11 minute walk to a train station, or just 30 minutes to Asakura station. There are several restaurants nearby, some that speak Japanese only but download google translate and make sure you have cash. Cash in Japan is uber important. There's a grocery store 2 minute walk, on the main street. There's corner stores and 711 is nearby as well. Not a bad place if you're looking for a very cheap place to spend the night and don't mind tiny cramped rooms to save money. Also, if you don't mind walking.

Tiny concrete hostel close to trains & Asakusa
A compact concrete hostel located in shady area near Asakusa with convenient train access. Suited for solo budget trips. Two of us occupied a Japanese-style room with floor mats. The room was very small, and with our fairly minimal luggage we had barely enough space to walk to the door. The futon mattress is placed on top of faux tatami mats and was especially uncomfortable. There is a metal bar attached on the wall under the windows which is coincidentally above one of our pillows. We heard our neighbour violently smack her head on it in the middle of the night which ensued in quite a bit of wailing. We assume the bar is for tying an evacuation rope to in emergency situations as the stairs would probably pick off a couple of casualties if anyone tried to run down them. The bar should be wrapped in a softer material to prevent injury. On our floor, we had three sinks, a women's bathroom, a men's urinal, and a men's toilet. Facilities were kept very clean on the floors. The shower room was on the first floor, with two showers and one bath room. Shampoo and body wash was provided; the conditioner bottle had soap in it for whatever reason. The water pressure was great however. Aside from being covered by four walls, privacy is close to nonexistent in this hotel. The concrete does a decent job of blocking sound through the walls, however the doors let out even the smallest whispers and rustles which then echo in the hallway. Very awkward to say the least.

Upscale Hostel
This place is basically an upscale hostel. Good prices, but if you want the luxuries of a hotel room, search elsewhere. Beware, they only supply you with a small towel. So if you use a full size towel, you better bring one yourself.
