Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier
1st night stay
Brief night's stay before Kyoto trip. Lovely modern hotel in Ginza area close to shops and restaurants and to Shimbashi metro station. Room was tiny but ok as only stayed the 1 night. Had drink in the small hotel bar with live jazz on some nights but wine was overly expensive, vibe so-so and full of smokers so disappointed at that! Despite that, overall ok hotel.

Room condition not great
Hotel looks great outside and in the lobby but rooms are quite old and had a strong musty smoke smell even though we were on a non smoking floor. We had to pay extra to be on a non smoking room so not happy it still smelt like smoke.

Classy digs in a great position.
Anytime you have to travel up to the 16th floor to Reception, you know you are going to get a good view from your room. Whilst Reception was strictly 3.00pm check-in, they were very welcoming, friendly and professional. Finally into our room on the 22nd floor, we were not disappointed with a good size room (for Japan), well appointed, very comfortable, good wifi and in 1st class condition. The big bonus for us, thank you Mitsui Gardens, was an end room with the most magnificent view of the city from the bathroom (see photo) The location was absolutely first rate for discovering the wonderful Ginza area for shopping and eating. It is only a short walk to the sensational Shiodome district and a 10 minute walk to Shinabashi Station with Subway and JR lines to all over Tokyo. Other Subway lines were also within easy access. Subway tickets are easy to buy through the dispensing machines, and a pre-purchased JR ticket from home (Australia) is a big advantage. We travelled all over Tokyo on either Subway or JR and could easily access any attraction. We would very happily return to this hotel on any future visit to Tokyo.

I had a great time here. The hotel close to JR Station and Tokyo metro. Also close to ginza street the shopping area. We’d stay for 4nights in the twin bedroom type which the room had a wonderful view. We love to come back if we have a chance to travel to Tokyo again.

Very Good8.0
Located within walking distance to fish markets (about 15 minutes). One street away has 3 convenience stores - Lawson, 7 Eleven and Familymart. Also not too far from the main shopping strip where all the major department stores are. Donki/Don Quixote right across the road.
