4/10 Fair

Quite, but rather run down and over priced.
This is overpriced for the location and home offered. It's the same price that Jamaican beach hotel resorts with breakfast, lunch, dinner and alcohol included. The owner is a nice, well-read fellow. But the bedroom is old and not well kept. The last time it saw a paint job appears to be about 20 years ago. It had an old ceiling light with the cover falling down. And the bathtub looked old and rusty, not that it mattered, as there was no hot water. So I had a cold shower. The breakfast was a nice Jamaican style, but rather small. The coffee was great, as was the WiFI signal. The fee per night should be about $50 for what is offered.

Visual scenic heaven
Chris is the reason why you go to June plum as he is so accommodating, helpful and cooks a mean Jamaican breakfast. The room we stayed in was clean but the only thing was there was no hot water for the shower. Apart from that what a lovely interesting house with antiques and historical information about Jamaica that was so nice to see and hear. Chris is very knowledgeable and so cool. There is a breakfast view that is so beautiful that eating breakfast at the June Plum was such a visual pleasure. I would recommend anyone to not only visit Mandeville which is lovely town but definitely visit June Plum it is a stay that is well worth it. Thanks Chris for being a wonderful host - hope to see you again next year. Sandra and Peter (England)

Peaceful Setting
We really loved staying here at June Plums. Appreciated that it was outside of the bustle of Mandeville. Such a quiet, restful place. Yet a quick drive into town. The gardens on Chris's property are just lovely. Eating breakfast on the veranda, overlooking Mandeville in the distance, was such a nice way to start the day! Chris has lots of antiques around his house, which also was fun to see. My husband and I would definitely recommend June Plums to anyone who is looking for a quiet, restful place to stay in Mandeville.

Nice Accommodations
My wife and I had a pleasant overnight stay at June Plum Bed and Breakfast. It was the perfect place to stop for some needed rest while on a sightseeing drive from Negril, at the western tip of Jamaica, to the capital, Kingston. The view from the beautiful property is breathtaking and host Christopher made our stay very comfortable. Before we packed up to leave, he joyfully whipped up a delicious, authentic Jamaican breakfast of our choice.
