Good location with many restaurants nearby
Akasaka is a safe, convenient yet quiet area to stay. The hotel is close to metro station with many restaurants nearby. A small supermarket is just minutes away and there’s a 7-11 right downstairs. Everything’s good except there was something wrong with the humidifier in my room. The room is very small but it’s typical in Tokyo. Overall speaking I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to travellers without kids (since they need more space to move). Breakfast is average. For the sake of flexibility you can just book the room-only plan and pay for breakfast on-site if needed. The other thing is many travellers did not seem to respect the onsen etiquette, which was well-written on the wall in the changing area. For instance, many didn’t wash themselves before stepping into the bath, which was a bit gross. Perhaps the reception staff could try to politely explain to the guests to pay attention to the etiquette during check-in. In addition, there’s a small shrine near the metro station which worths a quick visit.

The staff was very nice, breakfast was delicious, and my room was clean.

I would stay here again.
The room was small, but that is fairly typical of Japanese hotels so it's not really a problem. Somehow my husband and I ended up in a room with a bunk bed, but the bottom bunk was a reasonably wide double bed and that was much appreciated. (Double beds in Japan can sometimes be quite narrow.) There were nice amenities when we checked in, and the location of the hotel was excellent. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and within walking distance of a train station that is on a major line. We didn't purchase breakfast at the hotel, but we walked past it in the morning and it looked amazing. There is also an onsen in the hotel, but unfortunately we only stayed one night and didn't have enough time to go to the onsen. Also, one unusual but nice perk is that they had a bunch of pillows of different types (thickness, consistency) in the lobby that you could pick to use beyond what was in the room. They had clean pillow cases to use with whatever extra pillow you chose.
