The room is over our expectation but perfectly meet our requirements😊. The price includes breakfast and dinner which is a big plus. The staff is friendly and helpful though the communication may take more time due to language. We successfully arrived our next destination Kawaguchiko by taxi with the great help from the staff.

Great traditional Onsen experience in Hakone
Had an amazing stay with a really nice traditional Japanese hotel room with futons and a private outdoor hot bath. The hotel staff spoke enough English to be welcoming and helpful. We had the half board so a delicious traditional japanese dinner and breakfast were included. The highlight was having a private hot bath after dinner with sake i bought up the street at Lawsons.

Good onsen ryokan. Service and the onsens were amazing. The kaiseki dinner was traditional and good, but wouldn’t say it was exceptional. Area near the ryokan is very picturesque and nice to roam around

Great stay; a little dated
Pretty good location at the end of the Hakone-yumoto area. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly. We have tattoos so the public onsen was a no-go but we got a room with a private onsen. The hotel is pretty but seems pretty dated. The room was nice but also dated. The onsen was gorgeous and relaxing minus some of the bugs and such. The sound of the rushing water from the river was relaxing and definitely made it easier to imagine being in a far off and isolated area. The dinner was great and had a variety of seasonal dishes. The provided sake was sweet and chilled. The ramen restaurant inside the hotel was also nice and had a very small restaurant feel. The staff there was friendly and accommodating. I love this area so I might stay here again

Long history of the facility, the surrounding is breath taking with the sound of river running outside the room I stayed in was bright and spacious. The Japanese style dinner and breakfast choosen was delicious.
However keep in mine due to the age of the property cleanliness in certain area are missed. The toilet room is an older type and it has a strong funky smell, not the sulphuric acid from the area...
