Very nice hotel
Great stay. All was good with the exception of the bath/shower. There’s a glass panel that makes it impossible to turn on/adjust the water for both the bath and the shower without stepping into the bath. So, you have to stand in cold or hot water until you adjust the shower temperature or get the bath running at the right temperature. Most unusual and awkward

10/10 Exceptional

Great food and an overall very pleasant stay.
I took my mom away for a spa treat for her birthday. It was slightly disappointing that check in was so late (4pm) but the reception staff did their best to accommodate us early and our room was ready at 2pm. The lunch in the bar was lovely and the serving staff all very helpful and friendly. Likewise the dinner in the restaurant. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and the food was delicious. I used the pool, sauna and jacuzzi and they were all up to the expcted standard. The steam room was out of action which was slightly disappointing but i believe that might be a covid related precaution as i have noticed it elsewhere as well since covid. The only minor dampener on our stay was that the spa was fully booked. It was our fault for not booking in advance. We simple were not sure what treatments we wanted until the day but it was too late then. That in itself was not a problem, we found a place in Thurles to get our nails done. What was a bit disappointing was the tone of the staff member in the spa when she tone us they were fully booked. She repeatedly said that weekends are always full and implied we should have known that we were unreasonable to even ask if they had availability. I totally appreciate we should have booked in advance and if we did not then we may well not be able to get booked on the day. I am happy that part is entirely our fault. I just thought the tone was unnecessary.
