A lovely gem hidden down the lanes of Devon.
From the moment we turned up to the moment we left Esther was a great host. From welcoming you upon arrival, taking your breakfast order for the following morning through to the breakfast itself it was all done with a smile.
The room itself was lovely and large with a great sized ensuite for you to use. Everything was spotless and the location of the farm means you can truly enjoy peace and quiet overnight for that all important sleep.
It's a great place to stay and we really enjoyed our stay there. Next time we're back down in that area we'll definitely be looking to head back for a longer stay.

One night working away stay. During the pandemic I have been choosing quiet out of the way places, somehow feel safer doing that and this place certainly fitted the bill. Access wise it isn’t far from the main A38 but once off it there is a bit of narrow lane roulette to overcome. Soon after booking I received an email asking if had any dietary requirements, something that doesn’t happen very often in my experience. Have to compliment Esther on being a very friendly and welcoming host and the breakfast was something she obviously takes a pride in. The room was very clean, warm and comfortable, goes without saying really.

The breakfast was the best English breakfast I have had - fresh sausages and bacon from the farm - a choice of chicken or duck eggs, fresh mushroom and home baked bread - and there was always fresh yoghurt and fruit everyday! The rooms were amazing - very big and clean and quite elegant (new fixtures as well) The best part was waking up every morning and seeing alpacas out the window. Esther and Joe were lovely hosts!

Enjoyable Stay
We had a lovely, quiet and enjoyable break at Sladesdown Farm. The hosts were hospitableand friendly. The room was large, clean, comfortable and had beautiful views. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. The only minor negatives for us were that farm was accessed via very small lanes and we needed to use our sat nav to find it, and wi-fi didn't seem to be available.

Cute and quiet B & B
Our hosts were friendly, our room was huge and the breakfast was tasty. Not sure why other guests had trouble finding the place as we were able to locate it quite easily. Not a lot in the surrounding area but if you need somewhere close to Dartmoor National park or you're interested in Totnes or Berry Pomeroy castles then they're all within driving distance.

Quiet, peaceful location but vry difficult to find
We had a lot of difficulty finding the place, through many narrow winding lanes with 8 foot high hedges. Tried to phone for directions but the number on the booking was not their number.
Upon arrival the male of the family was very rude and managed to insult both my husband & daughter, who were most unimpressed. The wife was better but when we later mentioned we were getting Indian takeaway she became quite concerned & indicated that we should be careful not to make a mess in their room (as if we would!). The room itself was fine & spacious. The water pressure in the bathroom was a bare trickle. The location was quiet & peaceful; nice to wake up to the sound of the birds.

Lovely situation and nice people
we got lost at first so called the farm and the owner talked us there. It was a lovely family environment, the room was very comfortable and the location was very quiet (which was something we hoped for so were not disappointed) We expect to visit the farm again if not this year then definitely next year.
