"An overnight stay pre-flight in a lovely hotel. The staff were really warm and helpful on arrival and throughout. "The Deluxe room was delightful - large, comfy, good facilities, and fluffy robes! We were only staying a few hours as we had an early flight, and couldn't work out how to pay for parking hourly, but the gentleman on reception at the time was so helpful, and sorted everything out so we could leave at 4am with no hold up at all. The location is great for Heathrow T5."

The Drey - Kensington, Earl's Court

The Drey - Kensington, Earl's Court

10/10 Excellent
"Very clean room and bathroom. The room is on the smaller size, but we never had an issue with it because we only brought backpacks. Every thing in the room seemed very up to date. The air conditioner works very well. The bed was comfortable. There is a coffee maker with complimentary coffee, cream, and sugar. There is no mini fridge so don’t bring food that can spoil. We also got a complimentary “The Drey” tote bag. The hotel is in a nice area and a short walk to the nearest station. Also, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel seems very secure. In order to gain entry into the hotel and your room, you need to use your phone to unlock the doors. You cannot enter the hotel without being a guest or a staff member opening the doors for you. We would stay here again."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Ascot

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Ascot is during January, February, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the area's significant landmarks, history, and cultural offerings, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to enjoy various attractions, such as beautiful gardens and local golf courses, all while taking advantage of budget-friendly options like charming cafes and bars. With friendly locals and a relaxing atmosphere, Ascot provides great value for money, making it an ideal destination for those on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Ascot, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you seize opportunities to save. The Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to see the best options. You'll be notified if rooms become available or prices drop, making it easier to book a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at an Ascot hotel. For those in search of distinctive experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and occasionally better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we will recommend more affordable dates, increasing the likelihood that you may save on your booking.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Ascot's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
