A wonderful place
It was an amazing place to spend a night in Bruges. I and my friend stayed in the Africa themed room and we both love it. I will recommend this place to whoever comes to Bruges. The owner of the place thought everything for you so you don't need to worry about anything. It was one of my best stays ever. I am glad I have found this place.

6/10 Good

Lovely old house, unique in character. Large rooms, lots of space. Excellent location close to city centre. Generous breakfast, a free bottle of welcome - wine. Nice touch. booking related e-mails were not answered for a couple of days. Communications overall was really poor. The bedroom smelled strongly of paint (I guess the heating element had been recently painted.) There were no books or movies at all, which is lame in a city with no night life.

Great experience
A very different experience. Very old building but very comfortable. Stayed in Japan room which comprised the whole first floor. Property would not be good for someone with mobility issues.

The hotel has 3 rooms and the bathrooms are outside of the bedroom, but everything is very clean. The hotel is located right in the center. It was exactly what we wanted.

Quirky and unexpected near teh centre of Bruges
We arrived at this lovely old place after a long trip but were immediatley cheered by the welcome we received. The B&B is a bit fof a secret sitting on a mostly quiet residential street. It does not hang its name outside so look in the window for the stickers of well known holiday booking sites. We had the Japanese room. It was authentic but not to my husbands taste but he was soon charmed by the rest of the facilities. Thankyou Hugo for the guides, map the information and congeniality. Bruges itself is a great place to visit, mostly flat and has a large number of museums, places to visit and things to do. Don't forget to turn left out of the B&B away from town at least once. There are nearby eating places and the last remaining windmills. Many places were closed on Monday, so be warned. If you feel fit it is worth paying to go up the bell tower. The breakfast is great by the way, we made lunch out of what we couldn't eat. There is a little shop a few doors down if you need anything.

Brilliant location with short walk to the centre beside canals etc. Very good breakfast provided by our friendly host. Excellent facilities. The sitting room was a real bonus and the wifi worked well.

Nice and cheerful
Lovely 17th century place, which is still getting done, but quirky and cosy with character. Loved the location - close to the town centre and station. Definitely will stay there next time!

Africa Room
Nice place to satay. Easy walk to the market square. The room was clean and nice, and the owner was super friendly! Wifi was good on our computers, but our phones wouldn't connect for whatever reason. The Africa room was great for us, but maybe not for anyone older, you need to go up a small windy staircase to get to the bed.

No brainer-- this is the best option!
Fantastic location, convenient to travel to/from via public transportation, gracious host, breakfast is a great add to the stay, not to mention the beautiful and cozy room provided. Can't wait to stay here on all future visits. Highly recommend! Note-- shared bathroom!

Quirky accommodation in an excellent location
The bed in the Africa room was on a mezzanine floor accessed by a steep spiral staircase which may not suit everybody!

Lovely hotel
We really enjoyed our stay. Hugo was very welcoming and gave us lots of useful tips on where to go and good places to eat. The Japanese rooms were clean, comfy and beautifully decorated. We had a good breakfast every morning and the hotel was quiet at night. We were able to park our car for free and walk to city centre.

A beautiful home in the residential area of Brugge. Hugo is such a nice host. The euro-style breakfast is is quite a value (included in the price). The only drawback for me was the handheld shower, but that's a matter of personal preference. Seriously, I'm not sure I've had a better value in any tourist destination. Excellent.
