Food options range from upscale steakhouses to casual Cuban cafeterias where stone crab and grouper steal the show. Most attractions sit within easy walking distance thanks to wide pavements and bike lanes. When the sun sets, the district transforms as sports bars and live music venues keep the energy flowing until late.

Learn more about Hollywood
Between Miami and Fort Lauderdale lies a slice of old Florida that refuses to be overshadowed by its flashier neighbors. The famous Broadwalk (not boardwalk) offers a car-free promenade where rollerbladers glide past families enjoying oceanfront dining. Kayak through mangrove tunnels at West Lake Park, where herons pose like statues among twisted roots. The ArtsPark at Young Circle hosts free concerts under the stars, while downtown's mural-covered buildings house galleries that come alive during monthly art walks. Hard Rock's guitar-shaped hotel towers incongruously over this otherwise low-key beach town. For the best local experience, grab breakfast at one of the mom-and-pop diners where regulars debate which beach access point has the perfect sunrise view.

"Thank you"
Holiday Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport by IHG
"Great place I stayed here overnight after my flight got canceled. They were very accommodating. Breakfast is a little extra charge in the morning but other than that it was a good place to stay the poor area looking beautiful wish I was staying longer, but I have to go. I spent all day in the airport and I am now on day two of an all day adventure in the airport again but this hotel was a great rest area to get some rest overnight before another days long adventure."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft. Lauderdale Airport
"Let me start by saying my stay was pleasant until the morning of check out. The hotel is in a great area near the airport, the water side part of the hotel was awesome. Now to the morning of checkout, I really did not appreciate the service personel banging on the door at 9:30 AM, trust and believe my wife and I was not the only ones who had to endure that. It makes no sence for checkout to be at 11:00 AM and for our morning to be interrupted like that. Especially with a loud banging. I hope the management can get a control of that, this is definitely not acceptable. Outside of that the stay was great. Lastly the boiled eggs and sausage the hotel gives out in the morning tastes like cardboard and rotten, please stop, each night is $108 depending on where you book your stay, stop being cheap, messing with people's taste buds and health. Thank you"
The St Maurice Beach Inn

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Hollywood
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Hollywood is between August and October, when hotel prices tend to be lower. A stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended to fully appreciate the area's significant landmarks, rich history, and vibrant cultural offerings. During your visit, you can enjoy walking tours, dining experiences, and live music, as well as take part in various festivals or excursions. This timeframe provides great value for money, making it an ideal opportunity to explore the entertainment scene without breaking the bank.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Hollywood, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don't miss potential savings. The Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see any price drops or availability changes for your preferred accommodations, helping you secure that spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates might help you save on your stay in a Hollywood hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we may suggest more affordable dates to increase your chances of securing a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Hollywood's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
