The rooms smell of mildew and are not clean. The people hanging around the lobby area are questionable. Definitely not a 4 star. 2 star/motel level at best.
The charge 35 USD plus tax in daily resort fee for a two doublebed room (ie 4 beds) but you are only allowed two beach chairs. Even if the beach is not even half full they require 17 USD for any additional chair. Annoying.
Staff were lovely and friendly from valets to desk to pool staff. However, I think the resort charges are absolutely scandalous considering I have bee visiting Florida for 25 years and use of pool, towels and beach chairs were always included in the room rate by hotels and still are in many good quality hotels worldwide. So why are we now being presented with exorbitant charges for something that was always part and parcel of staying in an hotel? Parking/valet charges are also not good value.I would not mind paying for parking but do the rates have to be this high? It only serves to shorten one's stay in the hotel.
The heat and thermostat was broken (it was 60 degrees in the room, because of the cold front). When I called the front desk, they told me there was no heat in my tower and they would send me a personal heater. The phone did not work, so, I had to call from my cell phone every time I needed something. They have great beach, but not great customer service. I thought there would be an apology for the phone and heat situation, rather than an extra $120 on my bill...
I was skeptical of staying here based on some of the online reviews, but I wanted to be directly on the beach. I'm so glad I made the choice to stay! The rooms were updated and modern, the bed was incredibly comfortable. I loved my balcony looking out over the water. The cleaning staff was incredibly friendly and flexible of my work from hotel schedule. They made sure to come back at different times every day to accommodate my meetings and keep my room clean and tidy. When I did get to the beach, the beach bartender and the towel boy were SOOO nice. I felt so welcomed every day. The food from Salty Siren was really affordable compared to the other places nearby selling burgers (and no fries) for $19 each. I found the beach/pool food and bar menu affordable and tasty. Lastly, the location was excellent. I could walk and take in the sunrise on the beach in the morning and at night try out different happy hour spots along Los Olas. Everything was easy and convenient and I would definitely stay again.
I stay at the B Ocean Resort about 30 nights per year for work. I used to love it years ago. Now, I’m tired of the rundown rooms and problems I have on every visit now, 100% of the time. Leaking rooms, curtain fell on my head, no rooms till 8pm and not even the one I paid for. Effen Repeat. Their staff is really nice but they too realize it’s a has been and all they can do is credit you a $39 resort fee and pray you return. Not staying here again unless it’s the only option.
Hotel was okay...bathrooms were small and not cleaned well at all. We had a maid come in clean but there was still hair on the floor and shower. Checkin was easy and staff was pleasant. Nice access to beach with restaurants.
Amazing and beautiful peaceful time
Stayed in the ocean view rooms. It was awesome and the service outside pool side was phenomenal!!
Hotel was exceptional but room I booked was not available so i was downgraded into a different room.
