Very good hotel
Hôtel La Renaissance was a great hotel to stay in, we were a group of 4 people, the staff were extremely friendly and would go the extra mile to help you out no matter circumstances even when they are extremely busy. We had no issues with our check in as they let us check in 1 hour early. We booked 3 rooms and had no problem with the rooms at all, the housekeeping team were excellent, they would always give us fresh towels, sprayed nice fragrance in our rooms, also done the beds very well and left the rooms sparkling clean, our rooms were always maintained good. I would like to take a minute to thank the Reception team, they have done an amazing job fulfilling our needs, Ayoub with his great customer skills, well mannered, professional customer service skills and was always very helpful, he made our stay more pleasant along with Salma and Huriya Apologies I would definitely recommend this hotel, it’s in the main strip of Gueliz and close to everything, we would be back soon, hopefully sometime in July/August depending on the weather and the circumstances. Once again Many thanks

I booked this hotel for my husbands 30th surprise birthday. The woman at the reception was very polite, friendly and informative and during check out. However the next day there was another gentleman and for some reason kept asking questions about when we checked in and who was there at the reception - no idea why that was of importance. We enquired about booking trips with the hotel and he seemed to be pushing us to go for a certain trip and when we said we'd think about it he then kept saying the prices would change tomorrow? Anyway, we were taken to our room and there was hardly any lights in the room that worked baring in mind we had checked in during the evening. During the day we could open the curtains and loads of light was in the room obviously, during the night it wasn't very good. We opened the fridge and there was a bowl of fruits, a drink that had clearly been used prior to our visit with a yogurt pot. The bathroom was lovely apart from the used bathrobe with lipstick in and our wardrobe had a tart on the top shelf that had been half eaten. I don't really know if I would say this hotel is the most cleanest place, considering none of this had been cleaned or fixed during our week stay.

Although at check in thru could not find me in their system, they upgraded me. The staff were nothing short of excellent. I had lost my wallet on the last day, when the 'bell boy' took a taxi with me and found the other taxi in which I had lost it ;by this time my wallet had found its freedom at last and was away!! Then he took me on his scooter to the local police station for reporting and stayed with me from around 1 to 3am bringing me back to the hotel. It's ideally placed with a brand new mall near by (Carré Eden I think the name is). Also ideally placed for the film festival in Marrakech each year. I will be back there.

DONT GO THERE ! Racist Homophobic Staff
I stay in Marrakesh regularly but first time I’d used this hotel . We book on the site with arrangements to pay on arrival . When we arrived their cars machine wasn’t working but they refused to admit us to the rooms until I went to an ATM and paid in cash . One night we arranged to meet a friend at the hotel bar which fronted on your the street . From inside we watched them refuse entry to the bar . I had to intervene to get him admitted. They didn’t give any reason but I suspect the fact that he was a young black man was the only reason. It was a pleasant night so I invited my friend and the UK friend I was travelling with to the balcony for drinks . My UK friend says he’d follow us up as he still had a full drink . We went to my room , I went to the loo and my friend was opening the door to the balcony when the night manager and huge security guard let themselves In. They accused us of being gay , through my friend out . They insisted I gave the guard a €50 euro ‘tip’. If not they’d call the police . I pointed out that we’d done nothing Illegal but they’d tell the police we had . The guard then went downstairs and relieved my friend of his cash . Robbed him basically . Most appalling treatment ever .

The hotel is between the old town and the new town so is in an ideal location for visiting all sites. Found the alcohol to be very expensive in and outside the hotel. If you drink shorts there’s a Carrefour nearby which is a lot cheaper
