A good hotel, but could do much better.
The hotel is accredited as 5 star. However, the facilities are a bit shabby for a 5 star hotel. Apart from the main lobby area, lobby bar, buffet restaurant/ breakfast area, the communal areas were in need of some maintenance. For example, there was no light outside our suite. The light being motion activated was not working. The corridor to our room was very dark in the evenings with the light only coming from an adjacent light that we activated by walking past our room in the dark. We stayed in a suite, which was very spacious, clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and there was climate control A/C with cable TV. The staff were not especially friendly and not attentive. We booked a taxi transfer from the airport through the hotel via email. We were collected by a driver. We were later informed that we must pay the driver in cash. We then had to exchange some GB pounds to pay the driver in Moroccan Dirhams. This was inconvenient as we expected to pay using our credit card. We booked another transfer back to the airport. We exchanged some cash and were told to pay the hotel staff. When we arrived at the airport to leave, the driver told us to pay him. We had to remonstrate with him and eventually resolved the issue by the driver calling the hotel. This was not professional. We stayed as all inclusive guests with our breakfast, lunch and dinner meals included together with our drinks. The food provided was of reasonable and variable quality. A disappointed stay.
