Lovely friendly hotel with castle view

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great little hotel in lovely location. Small rooms but have everything you need and comfortable bed. We had a lovely view of the castle from our room. Food in the restaurant was wonderful. Even helped us to park our motorbikes securely which we really appreciated.

This hotel is wonderful. It’s located in the centre of town , five minutes walk from Pierrefonds Chateau. The buffet breakfast was great and dinner, whilst limited, was very good. The staff are superb , friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel fully.

Very friendly and helpful staff and a great restaurant attached. We had a very spacious room on the top floor which was well equipped. Slightly in need of a refresh of decor but that added to the charm for us. Really lovely village and castle. Good walks in the local forest also

Fantastic location in town with amazing views

Brilliant scenic location (we had a room at the front) with fantastic views of the castle, town and lake from the room. The family room was a generous size although a bath would be more ideal than a shower. Appreciated some smaller touches too. Parking in the town is free albeit a little away from the hotel but only a few minute walk. Staff friendly and food was great

Loved the location and the property, which dates to 1830. So the hotel has seen a lot of history, including serving as the headquarters and the hospital and recovery area for the U.S. 2nd Division (combined Marine and Army brigades) after the Battle of Soissons. The traditional French village is at the base of a hill on which rises a magnificent castle. The lake is beautiful. If you don’t speak French, no problem, the front desk manager speaks perfect English. The rooms are on the older side but the bed was extremely comfortable and we could open the big windows and get a wonderful breeze off the lake. The breakfasts were excellent and parking was easy. Quite a pleasant stay.

Great castle view, warm and friendly hosts

Hotel was hard to drive to and it was so busy in the area we had to park very far away. It was all gravel and cobblestone to get our luggage to the hotel. There was nowhere in the front to park and unload. Hotel did not have lifts but very narrow, slanted stairs. Understandable as it is an older hotel. Rooms were old and small but clean enough with a beautiful view of the lake and castle . What made the hotel really stand out for us were the hosts. They were so extremely friendly and welcoming. Be sure to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant as well as breakfast. They went above and beyond to ensure you were satisfied with your meal.

La chambre, trĂšs confortable, offrait un panorama magnifique. Les propriĂ©taires et le personnel sont d'une grande gentillesse, rendant l’accueil chaleureux et attentionnĂ©. Le chĂąteau, majestueux, mĂ©rite absolument une visite. Bien qu’il ne soit pas meublĂ©, cela permet de mieux apprĂ©cier les volumes, les jeux de lumiĂšres et d’imaginer librement son histoire et son atmosphĂšre. Le village est charmant.

ExpĂ©rience bien moyenne. La chambre Ă©tait vraiment minuscule, et le lit peu confortable pour ma taille (1m89). L’insonorisation est limitĂ©e donc il faut prĂ©voir en consĂ©quence. La douche Ă©tait Ă©galement minuscule, non adaptĂ©e Ă  toutes les corpulences. Heureusement que le pommeau lumineux m’a prĂ©venu que j’étais un grand gaspilleur d’eau, mĂȘme si ce n’est pas lui qui m’a prĂ©cipitĂ© dehors : c’est plutĂŽt la claustrophobie et le risque de dĂ©bordement du bac, complĂštement bouchĂ©. J’ai au moins pu rĂ©aliser, couleur bleue Ă  l’appui, que l’eau chaude a mis 20 litres Ă  arriver. Mais c’est moi qui culpabilise quand mĂȘme
 Bon. C’était le risque de la rĂ©servation de derniĂšre minute. Le personnel est sympa, le restaurant du soir est trĂšs bien. Petit dĂ©jeuner qui fait le taff. La vue sur le chĂąteau est jolie, par temps dĂ©gagĂ© !
