I'm not an expert on Sorrento, but after comparing prices across town, it's clear the area is touristy and expensive no matter what. That said, this place was not worth the price. The room was basic, clean, and fine, but nowhere near worth what I paid per night.
The bathroom deserves zero stars. The shower had black mold in the grout and tiles, but the worst part was the shower spout was caked in mold—something I’ve never seen, even in much cheaper accommodations. I should have asked to change rooms or get it cleaned, but that’s not really my style.
I didn’t have much interaction with the staff since I was out all day, but they seemed friendly in the brief exchanges we had.
If you're younger, traveling solo, or just need a place to sleep, I'd suggest finding something cheaper, even if it’s further from the center. I needed to be near the marina for travel, but in hindsight, it might have been better to stay right on the marina or at a beach club if you're going to splurge anyway. If you want to save more and don’t mind navigating bus schedules, consider staying in the mountains or further south and walking.
If you're staying here because it seems like a cheaper option, skip the breakfast. The food was terrible, and the coffee came from a machine. It’s clearly catered to British and American tourists craving an "English Breakfast," but the quality was bad. Save your money and grab a proper espresso and pastry at a local bar for under 5 euros.
