A Hidden Gem

Feom the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, the service was great. Owners Marty and Gaile were great. Whether it was to offer information about the house, the area or just to make you smile, Marty and Gaile truly made the experience a great one and felt like we were staying at grandma and grandpa's place. Breakfast was great as well as dinner at the in house restaurant, My Daughters Place. Marty is an excellent chef as well as his daughter who cook dinner with Marty. The house is over 100 years old and has it's own character and charm. The bed was big and comfortable, we both slept well. The only minus was that our room, #2, had a stand up shower that was a bit small and the toilet was a bit close to the wall, but these things can be expected. Other rooms had larger showers with tubs and the rooms in the 3rd floor had a nice shared bathroom. Overall this was a great time with great hosts. We cant wait to return.

Such a treat!

Loved our stay at Brookview Manor. Gail and Marty were friendly, hospitable and tended to our needs. We felt like family. The breakfast was amazing, plentiful and so delicious. Marty is an awesome chef who loves his craft. It was convenient to have dinner 'at home'. The menu was extensive, inspiring and very tasty. Our suite was comfortable and we loved having a separate sitting area. We were close to nature, the casino and the Outlet Mall. Plenty to keep us occupied on a rainy weekend. We left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed and taken care of. Perfect getaway destination. I hope to go back. Highly recommended.

Pocono Getaway

My first impression was not great. We had a communal bathroom; the heat was not on the first night, and it was very cold. The room was too busy; knickknacks everywhere; no place to set my coat. The breakfast is served at 9 am which was not convenient for our departure day. BUT, the place grows on you, the breakfast was absolutely hot and delicious; the hosts were friendly and very nice. The second night we had heat so it was much more comfortable. I am on the fence as to whether I would stay here again. Brookview Manor is in the heart of the Poconos, and the area is absolutely one of our favorite destinations.

Wonderful 1st Time Experience

We stayed in Room # 10 which had a whirlpool tub and is located in the carriage house. The bathroom was huge, tub relaxing, bed comfortable and really exceeded my expectations as a first time BnB guest. We had dinner both nights at their restaurant on the main floor of the main house. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for their dinner and breakfasts as well. I am gluten free and they had no issues accommodating me. They are about 15 minutes from the casino which made a nice nighttime activity and driving through the dark country roads was fun too! During the day we went to Bushkill Falls which was close and easy to get to from Brookview Manor. I've already spoken to my husband about going again... once we don't feel bad asking family to watch the kids again!

Anniversary celebration

The owners are nice and breakfast was good. We got in around 1030 PM on Saturday night and experienced a very disgruntled staff which were arguing in front of guest's and dropping some pretty explicit language on one another. Staff was very aware that guests were present but didn't seem to mind airing out their dirty laundry with us in the room. The last night of our stay we appeared to be the last guests in t bye house and wanted ice but couldn't find any staff in the house or, at the carriage house like the sign at the front desk suggested and no one answered the phone. We paid our 10 percent fee for guests services such as room cleaning. Saturday morning the room was cleaned but Sunday we came to our room to find towels and garbage bags for our room service and nothing was done inside the room. In addition we paid for an upgrade room and after looking through all of the rooms it is very clear to us that we have a standard room with no upgrades. The house has plenty of charm but I would not go back nor would i reccomend to any of my friends or family.

We had a very enjoyable stay...the owners were very friendly, accommodating and helpful...breakfasts were generous sized and very good...wish we had been able to try the restaurant on a friday or saturday night.

Brookview Manor

This is the second time that we've stayed here. We absolutely love it and always meet friends on our stay. Gaile and Marty make the stay very pleasant! The breakfasts are to die for and we ate there for dinner one night too and the filet's were phenomenal. We will definitely be going back again!

The Best B&B in the Poconos

We have been coming to Brookview Manor Inn since 1997, predating Gaile and Marty's ownership. Clearly, the Inn tops the charts on all counts---each room is comfortable, cozy, and beautifully decorated with gorgeous Victoriana. The setting is especially lovely; the Inn is nestled in the woods next to a brook, with seating outdoors that includes a gazebo and chiminea. Breakfasts are delicious and diverse at the skillful hands of chef Marty. Dinners at My Daughter's Place, in the Inn, are excellent, true works of art. The best part is the friendliness and hospitality of the owners, who continue to wow us with their ability to cater to every need with cheerfulness and good humor. Wonderful weekend in the Poconos!

Gaile and Marty were such wonderful hosts for our weekend away. We had an early morning event and Marty got up before the regular breakfast time to make us a delicious meal. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Lovely Victorian B&B in a beautiful setting

Definitely one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed in, and I stay almost exclusively in B&B's when I travel. It's a bit remote, but well worth the drive into the mountains, furnished in Victorian style with a lovely wrap around porch perfect for reading. Innkeepers Gail and Marty are welcoming, accommodating, and hilarious--do yourself a favor and linger over breakfast to talk with them. The food is beautifully presented and delicious, especially Marty's Egg Bellied Owl breakfast and his Fried Green Tomato dinner appetizer. The room was comfortable, quiet, and well provisionsed. I will be returning there again.

Nice, quite getaway place for relaxing.

Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast is heavy and freshly made with cheerful chef! - Marty. Don't count calories!!. The owners - Marty and Gaile are jolly people and makes the stay fun. Evening dinner is only available on Friday and Saturday. The food is excellent and big portions. Wines are expensive, so take your own drinks and enjoy in your room before hand!. There are few restaurants 3 to 4 miles from this B&B, on rt 390 towards Cresco.

Our 50th Anniversary Stay

This was the perfect place for us to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Gaile and Marty were the best host, very friendly and accommodating. Marty prepared our breakfast and they were the best we ever had at a bed and breakfast. We met at East Stroudsburg University 51 years ago and we decided to go back here to celebrate our 50th and we are so happy we stayed here. Friday we had dinner at their daughter's restuarant and it was fine dining at its best. We are definitely going back and hopefully in the year 2067 we will go back to celebrate our 100th anniversary(just kidding). Thank you Gaile and Marty, George and Carol Vaszily
