Great place to stay, a little out of the thick of it at about a 15 minute walk from the Medina. Good hosts / staff. Room was big and had a central living room with sofas which was ideal for us. Parking was around the corner on the street for €10 a night. No big issue. A/C was good and the Riad is significantly cooler than on the road. If you intend to drive be aware that other road users are nuts and you need your whitts about you! The Riad is down a side street so you can’t park up outside it. It’s a 5 minute walk down some back alleys so leave the car close by, check in and ask one of the very helpful staff to help sort you out a parking spot. Included breakfast was good, I’m regretting not having an evening meal here but we just never got around to it. Sun loungers and small pool are upstairs on the roof. The city is quite dusty though so as soon as it’s been cleaned you get a bit of dust on tables etc. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

After a long train ride in the gruelling heat and a series of unlucky events, our expectations were tempered- we were simply hoping for a decent night’s sleep in a clean riad. Instead, we were met with an unbearable smell of smoke that cloaked every part of the riad, including our room. This was advertised as a non-smoking building which is precisely why we chose it. Nauseated from the stench, we were then obligated to speed through lists of other lodging alternatives, as one of us is allergic to smoke. Management refused to help out and /or refund us for the 4-night stay. We were also met with another surprise: cockroaches on the floor of the riad! All to say, we both felt betrayed by the way this riad was advertised, as a 4 -star. Since we were pressed for time and having to choose an accommodation for that same night, our choices were greatly reduced, leading us to stay in a hotel that was vastly more expensive than anticipated and far from the bustling city centre we were looking forward to. Highly encourage you to look anywhere else but this place as it will disappoint!

Overall, our stay at this riad was average. We encountered a few cleanliness issues in the room that were somewhat off-putting. An upside was that the staff was courteous. During the check out process, we paid the riad city tax, but the staff didn't have change for us. He told us to go to the ATM to get the exact amount, or simply be okay that we'll overpay since they didn't have change available. We were running late so we didn't bother to go to the ATM. The change wasn't a big amount, but it was definitely an inconvenient experience. In terms of amenities, the rooftop terrace was nice. One benefit was that the location was convenient. In summary, it's an okay option for a short stay if you're not expecting anything extraordinary.

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who gave us tea and cake. We were then shown around the Riad before being shown to our room. The property was quiet and relaxing whilst also being within the Medina. The breakfast was lovely and we were very grateful that they were able to accommodate us to have earlier breakfast so we could do different excursions in the day. The breakfast included fresh baked goods and homemade yoghurt. The property had great views of Marrakech and the Atlas mountains from the rooftop. All the staff were incredibly friendly and we had a great stay.

A mixed bag
A real mixed bag. The staff were lovely but we booked an airport transfer and no one was there to meet us. The beds were comfortable but the shower was almost unusable as it alternated between freezing and boiling. The courtyard was beautiful but the breakfast was more than underwhelming. When it came to check out, no one was around so we left cash for the city tax and our room key. Plenty of better riads for the price!

Loved this place. Have to commend the staff - Abderrazzaq, big Khalid, small Khalid, Amina, Samira, Rita - all lovely. A couple of things you should be aware of when booking: - There is no drivable access to the property so you will have to walk to the Main Street for taxis - you have to book in advance any lunch or dinner requests as the cooks leave at 3 - most restaurants in the area are closed on Tuesdays

The only issue that we had with this riad was the internet service. It was hit and miss with mainly being a miss. It was almost impossible to get a reliable service in the room and we had to go out into the courtyard to get any service. To give them credit, they did try to improve things and they were not successful. Our first room was so small that we had to ask for a larger room as we had nowhere to put our suitcases and it was very difficult to even walk around the bed. From what we could see, most of the other rooms were much better size wise. The staff were wonderful and did the best that they could given what they had to work with regarding the internet. The riad is in a great location and there are some nice restaurants close by. It is also possible to order a evening meal there although they need advance notice so that they can get the ingredients required for the meals.

This was the most unique stay. Beautiful, authentic, relaxing. Roof space is very romantic.Pool is small and not heated (unfortunately) and even with 30C outside water is icy-cold. Staff is very kind, accommodating, patient, friendly.Thank you very much for having us ! Would love to come back to "our home" :)

6/10 Good

Disappointing
The staff is very nice, helpful and accommodating to the best of their ability. They did everything possible to make our stay as convenient as possible. However, we had several issues. We were a group of 4 and had booked 4 nights total: 1night at the beginning of the trip and 3 nights at the end which a few days later. Since we were a group of 4 we had booked a family suite. However, a month after booking, when I reached out to confirm our airport pick up, we were told that the hotel had overbooked the family suite for our 1night stay and offered us 2 other rooms. When we got there we noticed that the condition of the other 2 rooms were not as we had seen in the pictures for the family suite. Rooms and bathrooms were not well lit. Plus there was no hot water in one of the rooms. Hot water was an issue for the entire stay. Explanation: they use solar panels to heat up water and since it had been raining quite a bit, hot water was limited. (We didn’t run into any hot water issues at any of the other places we stayed, which were: Ait Ben Haddou, Merzouga and Dades Gorge.) We used the Hammam on our last day and there was no hot water there either. Other issues: some rooms seemed to be well put together and others seemed like they were haphazardly done (mirror in bathroom of one of the smaller rooms was too high) minor, but after everything else it just added on. Really grateful to the staff though for being so nice.

On the plus side I liked the location, it was a good price and the people were nice. Breakfast excellent. On the down side the rooms were clean but very dark and very drab. Also we had beers and drinks on the roof Terrace one afternoon . 24 hours later everything had been left as was so obviously no member of staff had visited the roof Terrace in 24 hours. The next day I came up and another guest was left sitting around among the left over towels, drinks and snacks from the day before
