The superior room above the pub/restaurant was very clean,room 1 was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Full English Breakfast was excellent and service was fantastic. Had a lovely one night stay for business purposes. The bar area had a fantastic feel of blended traditional pub with modern elements. Lovely open fire and WiFi. The menu for food was small which I like. Offering a smaller menu in my experience usually means better quality and that was my experience this time! The burger was lovely. I ordered desert but unfortunately had to leave for work purposes. I returned later and the bar staff had remembered I had paid and very kindly asked the kitchen to prepare my desert even though the kitchen had closed. The room was very comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast the next morning was also very well cooked. All staff I encountered were extremely friendly and helpful.
