We were there for the fall color at Pictured Rocks - this is the high season for this national park. There was only one person checking in - the line was out the door and there were problems with the computer. It seems to me that this a known busy time and the scheduling of staff should be appropriate for the anticipated volume. The fireplace in the room didn't work, yet the flue was open and cold air entered the room. No instructions on how to use the fireplace anywhere, nothing from the overworked and frazzled check-in clerk. The breakfast ran out of everything and no room to sit and no help.

It’s conveniently located by Pictured Rocks and the town has some decent food options (Bear Trap Inn is the best imo). The TV’s are a little old but has an hdmi cable and free wifi available!
