This was a great place to stay. We took the Bustang from Union Station in Denver and got dropped off right across the street. The hotel is downtown near great restaurants and shops. We could walk everywhere, including the hot springs. The hotel is very nice with friendly staff, beautiful rooms, and really nice soaps, shampoo, and lotion.

We absolutely loved our stay at Club Hotel! We had a great check in experience with super friendly staff and the room was very spacious and comfortable. We loved having the extra space in the living room and bed were super comfy. There were so many unexpected bonus amenities included and the area was very walkable & close to shopping and dining. This hotel is a beautiful work in progress. The owner was friendly and everything was clean and pretty. The only thing I would suggest are dressers in the rooms and more countertop space in the bathrooms. This is definitely a place I would go stay at again.

This is a really nice property in excellent condition with a comfortable bed, large good shower, bar fridge and kept super clean. No outside seating. Complimentary outside parking across the street. Located in the heart of Idaho Springs half a block from the pedestrian street. Very accommodating and friendly host. A very nice and comfortable stay. I recommend it.

The person at front desk check in was not friendly in any way. It seemed like she was bothered by us showing up. We got up to the room (Alice) around 4-5pm on a ~70 degree day and it was 83F in the room. The thermostat was on “heat” for some reason. We immediately turned it to off, which was the only other option. Then we opened the window as wide as it goes and the fan as high as it goes. I think this room gets a lot of afternoon sun which didn’t help, but there is no AC that guest can control, or possibly at all. I can’t imagine staying in that room on a warmer day. Hotels.com sent me a message asking how check in went so I responded with the above info. At 10pm as we’re trying to fall asleep, we get an angry call from the hotel saying “don’t go complaining to Expedia if you didn’t even call here first.” The man was aggressive. They wanted to come into the room to see how hot it was and possibly fix it, but with no AC I don’t know how that would be possible. We declined to have them come inside since we were in bed. It took a solid 5 min at least to get off the phone before the man hung up. That was unsettling and definitely ruined our impression of the hotel. Pros was super walkable, and even though email made it seem that we’d pay our own parking, they did cover the length of the stay. Cons: hot rooms with no AC, rude staff, pricy for the condition of the building and no amenities. Would not return.

From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like family. Before we left, we booked our trip for the next year. I can't give a better review... no joke. The Club Hotel is a hidden gem in a great CO location. Here's what we liked: The Staff, Idaho Springs, affordable, 2 minute easy walk to high quality food with surprising options, shopping, outfitters, music, views, and more..., wrap around porch with seating to sit in the perfect weather and look at the perfect views, lots of activity during the day...but it gets quiet in the early evening, antique furniture / rooms, Roku TV, huge bathroom with enormous shower, clean, historic feel, access to all things outdoors...mountain trails, fishing, and river rafting, etc... Here were our suggestions for improvement:

Staff was great, but if arriving after dark, it’s hard to find the actual entrance to the lobby. Also, loud guests banging relentlessly for 10 minutes on the outer door to get in at 2am was not good. For the price, look elsewhere.
