Excellent service, beautiful hotel, and comfortable bed. Only thing we didn’t like was the shower head-shower pressure was low.

8/10 Very good

Almost perfect
The hotel is beautiful, especially during the holidays. Upon arrival, when I ask for a luggage cart, it was given to me and despite valet being there, I unloaded everything on my own. The greeter even said I would get help, but nobody ever did. Just a bunch of men watching me unload my bags myself and struggle to navigate the large cart on my own to my room. The room itself was very nice, spacious, and clean. However, the bathroom was a different story. The tub was filthy and there was a dead bug. I’ve never been denied a late check out before, even at a charge, so that was kind of disappointing. When leaving, the valet, without any question, immediately loaded my bags into my car for me. So it seems like the norm is for the valet to help with bags etc but I just didn’t get that treatment upon arrival. I LOVE the attached Starbucks. I would come again; just hopefully to a clean bathroom this time.
Some sort of buildup on the shower head and the fixture detached from the wall
Beautiful lobby area!

Excellent in every way!
Our stay was excellent. From the front desk staff to the cleaning staff and valets, they were all so nice and helpful. Our room was a King room with a wonderful view and was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were extra soft. We really enjoyed our stay! I would recommend paying the extra money for valet service. Parking in the area was not going to be easy.

4/10 Fair

This was our second stay....much different than the first. During this stay we experienced no HVAC in the casual bar and restaurant, clogged bathroom sink, heat not working in our room, only one elevator working and a terrible mattress. The only positive was a terrific Thanksgiving meal in Bridgeman's Chophouse.

A Gem!
Priced about the same as "budget" hotels, the Read House is a much better experience. Our room was large, clean, and beautiful. Staff were all friendly and helpful. This was our second stay and we hope to return soon!
