An old hotel next to the metro
The location was nice, but the hotel is aged. I literally couldn’t shower because it was too small. The only way to not have the room over heat was to open the windows onto a busy street

Staff need training
Check in was good and your employee at check in was pleasant. The door man was a gentleman. Breakfast was very good. DAY 1 & 2 The water in the shower wasn’t draining and overflowing and the one mattress was in really bad shape, it was caved in.We also had to get the TV reprogrammed (by the nice doorman) and the entrance card was deactivated twice. At about 3pm on Day 2 no one came to clean our room, I’m assuming they forgot so I called the front desk and within 15 minutes a nice lady came and cleaned it for us. Day 3&4&5 We asked to be moved to a room where the water would drain in the shower and the mattress was in better shape. Day 3 both cards deactivated again. On day 4 we arrived back at our room to find the pillows were scattered on our bed and a used pillowcase thrown on the floor next to the bed. The coffee cup that I drank my coffee in the morning was washed and put away but they didn’t do a really good job washing it because my lipstick was still on it. On my way out I mentioned it to the front desk, they apologized. Day 4 when I came back to the room the coffee cup still had my lipstick on it, it wasn’t washed. Not sure what is going in but that is unacceptable. Your staff needs to pay more attention to the cleanliness of the rooms or work as teams when they clean the rooms. It’s really not good that sheets are left lying around and cups are semi-washed in the washroom (not sterilized from a dishwasher) and left as clean.

Could be better. Not a 4 star.
Three days of noise from dance club at rear of hotel. Shower stall did not drain properly and feet would be in a pool of water. Buffet Good. Overall good location. Better hotels for the same price.

will stay there again
When I first arrived, the reception was a bit swamped and when it was my turn it was a bit rude. No hello and literally just took my id and that was it. But other than that they were always friendly. Room was clean and in a good state. So will definitely stay there again next time.

The hotel was good and I have no real complaints other than we were given a room with two beds in it, when it should have been one. THe weird thing is, the two beds were shoved together and is if they should have been one, but they were made up like two.

Don't stay here unless you want to be robbed!
My sister and I stayed in this hotel in November for 4 days. On the third night we went to our room to drop off shopping and go back out to visit the Christmas markets. Out of our room came a man who said he was there on behalf of the hotel. Behind him I saw our luggage was open and realised he was actually a thief. He ran down the stairs and I ran after him. My sister got into the lift and reached the lobby before him. She screamed for help and a bystander tackled him. Out of his pockets came our gold jewellery. The police came to take our statements and were able to get our valuables back. We were lucky that we went back to the hotel at the time we did and caught him in the act. But 10 mins later and he would have been able to get away with it. What's even scary is that he had a pair of scissors on him and could've have been violent. I am absolutely appalled that this could happen at a 4* hotel. There was no security and no one from the hotel checked in on us that night to see if we were okay. We were told the manager would be in the next day and speak to us then, which is just not good enough frankly. This is not a safe hotel to stay at as thieves clearly have easy access to rooms. Furthermore the hotel gave us no reassurance or checked if were were okay. Absolutely awful experience.

Neat
Stayed for the weekend. The restaurant wasnt open for some reason. Other than that, this is a nice hotel, right in the corner of the centre and good transport nearby. I would recommend this hote for short stay.

Terrible
No hot water, reception pretended he thought I was talking about hot water from the kettle when (i assume) the whole hotel was asking the same question - I rang up around 9pm. Said someone was going to come to my room to take a look. No one did turn up. No compensation or apologies. Paid £400 for a single bed the size of a box room with no hot water. Not impressed with the service at all
