Absolutely terrible service. It feels like they don’t care at all. I am Marriott Gold Bonvoy member as well. It seemed that they were not happy that I used Expedia, hence providing a lower level of service.
The issues started with them charging us more than what Expedia reservation was for. Once I pointed that out, the agent made it feel like she did me a favor by discounting the tax and charging close to the reservation amount, but still higher than that.
The major issue was that the bathroom kept getting flooded if one took a shower. Their shower was not leveled. I called to inform them, and rather than offer to address it, the agent asked “what do you need”? Well, I asked for several towels and once they arrived, I had to wipe dry the bathroom floor. The staff couldn’t care less. Upon checkout, I informed another agent and he couldn’t care less either.
It was a terrible experience. This hotel does not deserve to be rated 5-stars. Beware!!!
