I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Los Cerros de Bogotá. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean. The location is great for walking to museums and Plaza de Bolivar. Oxxo is a block over. Exito and Dollar City are within walking distance. The WiFi Internet was fast.
I consider the area to be safe. I would recommend staying South of Carrera 10 if walking. I would recommend taking an Uber to go to Mallplaza NQS or anywhere North of Carrera 10.
There is a night club across the street that can be loud on Friday and Saturday nights. There are two solutions. Get a room that doesn't overlook the street or wear earplugs with a white noise sound machine. The hotel staff offered for me to change rooms if the noise was too loud, but I declined since I enjoy the view of the street. This offer was made without me asking or complaining, which I thought was really sweet of the staff. :-)
The hotel has no elevator (or lift for my British friends).
On Sundays, walk North to Carrera 10 and take a left. You will run into many vendors selling all types of things.
The beds seemed bigger than a full bed in the USA. About the size of a queen I would guess. I slept comfortably in the beds. The pillows were a little too thin for my tastes, so I bought extra pillows at Exito for like $3 each.
The bathroom is on the small side. I'm 250 pounds and could fit in the shower. However, larger Americans might have issues.
