Good location but tiny rooms
Moxy East Village is a great location. I’ve stayed several times but keep in mind the rooms are tiny. No closets, no mini fridge, sink in room .. European tiny.. I believe the standard room is 150 square feet. Fine for one person but cramped if you even have a full size suitcase.

First off we went to wrong Moxy hotel. When we arrived at that one a mile away from this one we were pleasantly pleased. It smelled wonderful and the gentleman at the door was helpful and pleasant. But then we discovered we were at the wrong one. We the caught a Lyft to this one. We enjoyed our stay. It was clean, convenient, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were quiet. My only negative was the $30 day resort fee. I feel this should have been included in the price. I understand you get it back daily if you use it but that was kinda an unnecessary stress to use it or loose it. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

Fantastic for families that want to stay together but not separate. Nice facility, free coffee downstairs and little cafe area. Bet y quiet and well insulated rooms.

Just Ok
This hotel is just average with very small micro rooms. Dark modern IKEA chic vibes. I wish I would’ve known the rooms were so tiny before booking. For the same price my friends stayed at the Hyatt down the street with a full size room, (I saw it) I was solo but I could not imagine having to share. My room was not very clean with hair on the bathroom floors and spots on the sheets. Towels are of very poor quality like sandpaper. The bath sink is in the bed area which is weird. Felt more like a hostile or dorm room. Housekeeping never offered to give me clean towels. I mentioned it to one of the ladies as I was walking in the hallway, but she just said OK but did nothing. I had to go and get my own towels and some water. The best part about this hotel is the Alphabet bar on the lobby floor which has a much cooler vibe. They offered some tasty cocktails, lite bites and the bartender service was excellent! I would not stay here again and would only recommend this place for college kids or really small people. I get it’s only a place to sleep and I should be out on the town, but a comfortable room really makes vacation.

Kind of a bait and switch experience.
Check in was a disaster; disorganized and unnecessarily complicated. Rooms deceptively small and room we got differed from the one we chose online. Toilet and shower semi enclosed but not an actual full bathroom. Staff was friendly and kind but this place does not have their act together and the room was uncomfortable at best.

Very cute and cozy hotel
The only reason I am not giving this a five star rating is due to the beds and the location of our room. The hotel and staff are great. The hotel is two blocks from Union Square and the neighborhood has a lot of restaurants and stores within walking distance. The only issues were the beds and the location of our room. The beds were not comfortable, you could feel the springs through the mattresses and our room was directly across from Webster Hall so it was extremely noisy until early morning hours every night.
