Great location
The Ramada is in great location on the ocean front. It is wonderful to wake up to an ocean view, but be sure to book "ocean view," not "dune view." This visit was in December, so we didn't get to enjoy the balcony. The rooms are looking a bit tired, but were clean. The Tiki bar was open on Thursday night, but the heaters couldn't fend off the chill of December cold. We'll stay here again because it’s close to restaurants and bars and of course, the ocean!

Needs updating. Bathroom looked like a blind person renovated it. Very sloppy on caulking in tub shower area. Water leaks behind stool by tub while showering. Killed 4 or 5 bugs the 2 nites we stayed. Bed was very comfortable. Off season...so it was very quiet. Just needs a good sprucing up.

Great OBX stay
Hotel was wonderful! Clean and comfortable. You can tell parts of it are a bit run down, the paint was chipping on the balcony, but it took nothing away from our experience. Beds were super comfy, bathroom was clean and water was hot. The tiki hut was awesome! We had an oceanfront view and the sunrise was amazing. Staff is so friendly!! We will stay here again.

Checked in online and picked up the key upon arrival. We were supposed to have an ocean view room, but they must have upgraded it because we were in the center with a spectacular oceanfront view. They have upgraded the hot tub since the last time we've been there, and the pool was warm and comfortable to walk into. Not too warm, but only took a moment to adjust. The staff are professional and friendly. The morning coffee is good and I am looking forward to our next visit!

The hotel was older and so the pipes made noises at night that kept me and my husband awake. The door to the bathroom was a barn door so if you were in the bathroom you couldn't open the door to come inside the room because the handle stuck out. The hotel staff was very friendly, and the place was very clean though. The beds were comfortable too.

Unhappy long time customer...
All the staff was friendly & wonderful. We have stayed here once our twice a year for over 30 years. Very dissapointed in the bathroom, room 414. Toilet was loose in the floor, seat was stained w blue cleaner & chipped. Tub was all scratched up & old, but the shower worked well. The bathroom barn door was covered in mold & mildew from top to bottom on both sides. We purchased lysol wipes & my husband cleaned it all because i have asthma. The desk chair was old & ripped/worn, did not use. Beds were fine & rest of room clean. Breakfast was nice, staff was very kind. Again, the front staff was wonderful, housekeeping very friendly, but the maintenance of our room was bad. Many family vacations & great memories here, but this stay isn't one of them.

I like the convenience of the elevator, carts for luggage, the pool and hot tub are primarily why I stay here with my grandson. Much improved pool and hot tub from previous stays. However, pool is never warm enough and hot tub working is unpredictable. I stay here often. Would love to see a cleaner pool and hot tub.

Great location, dirty bathrooms, could be cleaner
The location is perfect and the outside access areas to the beach are great. The pool is nice and the outdoor deck area/restaurants looking over the ocean were nice. The rooms could’ve been much cleaner. There was trash all under the beds, and the bathroom was gross. Our bath tub had hair clogging the drain so bad it would barely drain, leaving you to stand in your and your family’s dirty water while showering. A little bit of extra effort to clean up and fix the bathrooms would make this place a gem.
