I got jerked around over payment.
I booked a one night stay online with the option to pay on site. I arrived and they refused to accept cash. The nice new employee tried to explain why (possibly Hailey?), and I politely challenged the thought process. She retrieved the red haired lady claiming to be the GM of the location. I was informed that they will accept cash on check out, but they will file a pending charge that will be cancelled on my card if I check out with cash. I accepted the arrangement and checked in. Upon check out the next morning, the black female employee sat in the lobby for at least 3 minutes, oblivious to my wife and I approaching the desk area. Finally, after I start looking down the hallway does she notice me and asked if I wish to check out, I said yes and I would be paying cash. She immediately said we don't do that. I said the GM said you would upon checkout. She called Hailey and the conversation did not satisfy her to allow me to pay cash. I just wanted to get on the road for my 9ish hour drive and quit fighting the issue.
The Springhill Suites website listing for this location does list they accept cash. I have room on my card, but I set aside cash to handle all my business for the trip.
The building appears to be fairly new, the back parking lot has a rough spot for a fairly new building. Walls for the rooms are paper thin, beds are hard. The room and building was clean and well kept. If it wasn't for the payment drama, I would say 3.5 star experience. Try other places first.
