It was a pleasant stay. The carpet in the hall was stale and room could use a deep cleaning. I understand they are going through a transition due to change in ownership. I will return.

Awesome stay in the Big Easy
What a wonderful hotel! Rooftop patio is an absolute gem. They call it a rooftop pool but its more like a pool sized hottub. All the staff are so welcoming and nice and they have live performances by musicians and DJs that you can enjoy while at their bar, which has a whole lot of NOLA spunk to it. Our room had nice high ceilings and a very soft and comfortable king sized bed. Loved our stay and would love to stay again the next time we visit the Big Easy.

Nice Public Spaces
Nice public spaces - nice bar, restaurant and coffee shop. Nice views from roof top pool.
The carpeting in the hallways is showing its age.
The room had a very well stocked large refrigerator. Older style room with free standing wardrobe. The hotel has recently come under management by Hyatt and would expect they will make some upgrades to the guest accommodation space.

Not my favorite hotel. Would not recommend
I stayed here when it was the Ace Hotel. Didn’t like it. But it’s now I Hyatt property and I am Hyatt Gold member, so I tried it again. Didn’t like it this time either. This hotel proclaims its industrial decor. That is correct. There are concrete beams in the rooms with unpainted holes in them (on purpose), cork-appearing tile floors, art deco refrigerator. Not very stylish. Very cold. Very noisy. They also put a $200+ deposit on your credit card for “incidentals” when you check in. That is a lot of dough for “incidentals.” They place hundreds of dollars of liquor in every room, so I guess that’s why there is such a large deposit. Finally, my fault entirely because notice was posted, but there is a $25 “Destination Fee” added to every bill. They advertise a low price. Smells of bait and switch. Would not recommend.

Hotel rooms ; needs to b remodeled: Floors n rooms are bad - dull look dirty. You could hear trolley come by often so letting us know to get on other side would b helpful. The charm of the place I love. The bar. Both bars. Location to many restaurants were great. Parking less overnight down the street on other side of street.

Great Location
Great walking access to various parts throughout the city. Having a coffee shop and restaurants within the hotel is very convenient. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend not having a rental car, you can likely walk wherever you need, and parking is a premium.

Hotel was beautiful, the room was excellent, loved the SMEG Fridge as well as the coffee shop next door. We found that the walk to Canal Street and Bourbon St. were not too bad. DId not like that there is no room service on the weekends, and that the Vallet is $50.00 a night.

This hotel is so beautiful. They have a lovely cafe and the lobby is gorgeous. The room is spacious, clean, and so comfortable. Also the bathtub was gigantic! (Loved it). I really enjoyed staying here—it was modern and classic at the same time. The staff is so helpful, kind, and friendly.

Not Really A welcoming environment.
The person who checked me in should not be in customer service. Unfriendly and neglected to share wifi info. When I called to get the info she was equally unfriendly. Generally this is not a property with great customer service.
If you have a meal in the restaurant check the bill. I had a drink at the bar and was charged a kitchen fee even though I didn’t have a meal and would have left a tip for more than the 1.25 added to the bill. No one could explain the fee but it was eventually removed.
Great location, charming atmosphere, not great customer care.
