Room was good but service wasn't
Everywhere so dark. I guess because in National Parks to keep natural as much as they could but so dark everywhere so we had little hard time to find our cabin and quite often got lost lol. Room was quiet and large enough, heater wasn't too laud. It was little noisy when people were coming in and out because the door made laud noise otherwise, nice and comfortable. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet is NOT free, NOT cheap, NO discount for Lodge guests and NOT include drinks, Not much choice of foods, Not even let you take main foods yourself... I imagine they always been asked if buffet is free for guests but NO. NOT even discount for guests and these servers are NOT nice neither :( "So the breakfast buffet for Yavapai Lodge guests is NOT free. You have to pay at the kiosk out there" When I asked...

So close to the rim trail
It was so nice to stay so close to the rim trail Didn’t have to wake up super early and drive into the park. Lots of conveniences in the immediate area but you can tell they make it a priority to not disturb the local habitat as much as possible. Would certainly stay here again. Very pet friendly as long as your pet is friendly because there are lots of pups around.

This hotel was not in a convenient area. Staying in the Grand Canyon village would be much better. It is not very near to the visitor center. The walk was not safe, no sidewalk. Room is nice, big and clean. Plenty of parking. Hallway could be cleaner and the door to the hallway from outside should be locked.

Great location, mediocre accommodations.
Location was fantastic, two-minute drive to visitor center, Rim Trail and shuttles to all points on the South Rim. Accommodations were basic and not well-maintained. Our whole family struggled with allergy symptoms from the dusty room and linens. Price was the main factor in our decision to stay here. Staying in-park was a big benefit, but I’d hope to stay in better facilities in the future.

Great hotel, terrible bedding.
Lovely room except the bedding. The pillows were absolutely awful. Cheap foam. They really let down the room and the whole experience.
