Good location, but expensive for what you get.
Nice enough hotel in a convenient location to explore the Pyrenees. However, for the price paid I would expect better. The staff were very pleasant and the service was excellent, so I cannot fault that. However, the room was a little small and there was a smell from the bathroom (presumably the drain). The reception area was nice but the peeling wallpaper let it down. It wouldn’t take much to sort out.
The main disappointment was the restaurant. The starter of foie gras was very good but was sadly led by a not so great burger for me and trout for my other half. There was nowhere else to eat and the restaurant had good reviews (and wasn’t cheap!) so we were disappointed by this. At €115 for the room and €100 for a two course dinner and a drink for two I expected better.

Really enjoyed the hospitality and the location was ideal for us. However would benefit greatly from having tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms along with room service. The menu was also very limited, though what we did have was very very good.

Quick and efficient check in. Changed to a room at the front with the most magnificent view.
Best place for good food and wine at dinner. If you are planning a walk in nearby Gavarnie, best to pay €11 p/p for breakfast. Breakfast is good (choice in Gavarnie is terrible).

Nice hotel in a beautiful area
This is a nice small hotel. Our room was very spacious with a sitting area, a huge closet and a view of the mountains. Our hosts were very accommodating. Great shower and bathroom. Restaurant at the hotel is almost a necessity as the town is very small and there was not much else going available in the town, even in nearby Gavernie which is a tourist town. Good location for hiking.

Beautiful Spot but Stinky
Convenient location for an early start in the mountains. Chief complaint was an odor emanating from our bathroom (Room 5). I think it was the smell of sewage coming from the shower but my wife thought something had died. It was late and we were exhausted so we decided to ignore it. After spraying some perfume inside, we only opened the bathroom door when essential. Fortunately it was warm enough that night that we could open the patio door to let in fresh air. No idea how we could have managed in the cold of winter or heat of summer. Also, the bed was lumpy. Otherwise good breakfast option and beautiful views. Will not stay again.

Three star hotel with view
Nice three star hotel with views to the mountains. Clean, kleenex, free wifi and parking, HD TV with BBC, MSNBC and Bloomberg Business in English, no a/c, all windows openable without screens. Considered as the best restaurant in town with the other choices a pizzeria and a bar restaurant. No a la carte menu per se although you can order a starter plus entree for 25 euro or an entree for 19 euro. A daily menu at 25euros (not including drinks). Thursday night has the hotel special menu which we missed.

Spectacular View
I loved the hotel, the astounding view, and the surrounding village. It was a perfect place to base our three-day stay in the Pyrenees, and the town was much nicer and more accommodating than the hectic tourist town of Gavarnie. Our room had had a breathtaking view to the south, of the Breche du Roland in the distance, and was captivating no matter what time of day. Our ONLY complaint ( not unusual in France, sadly) was that cigarette smoke blew up into our room one night from a chain smoker below. So we had to close our gorgeous balcony windows. If this was a non-smoking hotel it would be perfect.

Welcoming family run modern yet traditional hotel
The hotel is very good, smart, modern yet traditional. Everything was excellent: service, food, amenities, level of comfort in the room and spaciousness in the bedroom. The view from the room was delightful, it was very quiet in the room ( at the back), there is a lift for ease of getting bags into the room, the wifi was fast and easy to access. There is even a gym and sauna which we did not use.

Great base to explore Garvanie/Pyrenees
Small friendly hotel with attentive staff. Recently refurbished - rooms and bathroom well fitted out, though not large. Food was really tasty - lots of local recipes.
Just a lovely relaxing place to stay.
