Well, I arrived at the property after driving in from Missouri an almost 8 Hour drive and checked in with the gentleman at the front desk. He was sort of rude and when asked if I had a pet I disclosed that yes I have a cat and I had checked the policy and it stated that pets were allowed. The website also States that they are pet friendly. However, the gentlemen staff advised me short of being rude again, no cats no because we have wood in there. I had already paid for this day and I had an upcoming week after that night. I had come in earlier, so I went onto Orbitz and paid for the night, I was coming in and actually looking forward to the rest of my stay there for the upcoming week. So at this point I had no other choice but to after driving this long way to call a family member and ask them if they could come and pick up my cat , I tried to get other accommodations in the area as well as trying to speak with customer service of the WoodSpring suites hotel. The customer service representative advised that this should not have been a problem and call to the front desk and he was the advice that there was a no cat policy, I do understand policies however this is stated nowhere in the contract that I signed after registering and also on the website. This is very misleading and I’ve never had a problem With having my cat at a pet friendly hotel. My cat was already stressed out from the ride and she also is I advised him that she is an emotional support animal. Horrible
