I was very pleased the Kelly Inn at Mitchell, SD. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly to chat. I was particularly impressed with the design and details of the building. The lobby was amazing and decorated for Christmas. Very nice. I would love to stay again

Not our best stay at this hotel.
After asking for a room on the first floor, being told it would be a $40 increase in price, and saying no, the desk clerk put us a far down the hall on the 2nd floor as he possible could have from the main entrance after. The room was icebox cold when we entered and the outside curtain rod was hanging down. The toilet also wasn’t flushing properly and I had to fix it twice so it would quit running water.

Ownership has neglected this place!
Hotel is fairly nice, but room key would not work. After 4 different keycards that the Manager could not get to work, they gave us a Master Cleaning Keycard. So much for security! This card would only work after about 20-30 tries. Employees said the Management would never fix these and are a continuous problem. Decent hotel with terrible ownership.
