You get what you pay for ... or do you?
I'll admit that I usually stay at higher-end hotels, but this is one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had in terms of the room itself. While it looked like they'd attempted to make some improvements at some point in time, the improvements were unfinished, and many things were broken, missing, or coming apart. Even the paint on the wall had shoddy areas where the paint wasn't painted right. The draft and noise coming from the window sounded like the window was open the entire time because it hadn't been sealed properly. In the bathroom, the hooks for the towels had come off and was missing. The tub wouldn't drain which made the shower really slippery. The mattress on the bed was hard and uncomfortable. I had things in my room that my daughter didn't have in hers and vice versa. The first morning we went down to breakfast, and it was so bad, we ate out the remainder of our stay. The eggs tasted like they came from a powdered mix, and there wasn't even typical things you see at a hotel breakfast like yogurt, hardboiled eggs, fruit, etc. There was no milk for the cereal, and there was a sign on the wall that said food couldn't be taken from the room which is totally ridiculous. I'll never stay at a La Quinta or a Wyndham again.

Not fancy but clean and comfortable.
Bot fancy but very clean and very comfortable. Roge (Rick?) and Dee did everything they could to make sure that we had everything we needed, including sending their maintenance man to help us start our car when it was acting up. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the room clean and quiet. It has been recently updated which added to our visit, Free breakfast was very adequate and the hotel was very close tp the free way and other stores and restaurants.

Honestly, this hotel is like lipstick on a pig. At a distance, it looks new and refreshing. As you actually get close, it is a dated hotel that has had attempts at modernizing. The floors at the corners and base of the tub are disgusting! The overflow in the bathroom sinks are so gross it makes you gag looking at it in the reflection of the mirror. The hot tub was dangerously hot. We had to have cold water added each day to make it barely tolerable to get in without getting burned. The breakfast was fine. The hallways were overpowered with the air freshener. So much so, most of us got headaches.

Unclean & kind of rundown
Several things to note about this hotel: 1. The room was not well cleaned when we arrived. The bathtub had many hairs in it. One of the pillowcases had hairs on both the inside and outside. 2. The road noise is quite a lot. 3. The fitness center is a joke. It doesn’t open until 8 AM (if you are choosing to exercise while at a hotel, I am certain you can’t wait until 8 AM to do so). Also, the equipment is very sparse. 4. While the hotel has recently had superficial upgrades (new flooring, paint, new lighting), it’s covering up what is simply a rundown hotel.

Good Hotel
Basic hotel room but exceptionally clean. Floors are not carpeted but there is a rug underneath the bed. I was there one day when the housekeeping came. I was impressed they mopped the floor as part of their routine. The bathroom was well kept, basic stocks and they changed the sheets and towels daily. The room was in excellent condition and there were plenty of electrical outlets, a microwave and a refrigerator. I will stay there again. The access to the freeway and nearby restaurants and businesses was simple and easy. The front desk staff were pleasant and friendly and accommodating. Their front desk is manned 24/7. Parking was sufficient. The pool and hottub looked clean and well maintained and the hours of use are generous. The floors were a little cold without carpeting in the winter, but that is the only negative, and they were certainly well-kept and very clean.

mostly very nice - good stay
Very good location, beautiful lobby, bed was good, pillows were good, room was clean and breakfast was very nice. I noticed 2 things that bothered me a little bit, but probably wont bug anyone else. 1. The chemical smell from their cleaner was intense and irritated my eyes, I ended up having to open a window in the night to air out the room and that fixed the problem. 2. While the finishes were beautiful and high end the installation/maintenance/paint looked amateur and shoddy. Find better construction/maintenance people. That being said I would give it a 9/10 and I look forward to staying there again.
