Slightly out of the way in Rethymno
Owing to the uncertain times of the pandemic, hotels generally had their own interpretation of the Covid rules. We stayed at 4 hotels on our visit to Crete and Remis Studios interpretation ensured we had timely and polite cleaning regime.
The room was clean but showed clear signs of wear & tear: The bathroom had no functioning towel racks, so we had to hang them over the top of the door - not exactly hygenic. The parking lot assigned to guests closed after a certain time, so if you needed the car to go out for dinner you needed to return by the time the restaurant closed or you would have no parking. Furthermore the parking lot was not properly paved - it was essentially the remains of a demolished building and was not level due to remaining elements of the previous building's concrete foundation slab.
