The property is beautiful and the staff is very accommodating. The property is located approximately 7-10 minute walk into the main market area and popular restaurants. The spa is very relaxing, the breakfast is very good, and the place in general is relaxing.

Best Riad in Fes
This is honestly the best Riad in Fes. Anna and Hameed are so incredibly helpful. The terrace is gorgeous and does lovely food. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. The entire lobby area is stunning. Must stay here. It’s fabulous

I honestly can’t rave about this place enough. Before our arrival, the Riad arranged a taxi pick up from the train station per our request. The driver waited for us with a sign inside the station so that we didn’t even have to go look for him. After arriving, we were greeted by Anna. Anna is the sweetest person you will ever meet. The whole staff is, actually! Anna checked us in and told us all about the beautiful Riad. I mean really this place blows you away. It’s just BEAUTIFUL and regal! Anna told us the history and informed us about the spa and restaurant (more about this later). Hamid, another wonderful staff member, brought us fresh juice, mint tea and cookies. My son (3 years old) loved him! Hamid carried him around and showed him all the pretty things to see, kept him busy, while we drank our tea in peace. It’s little things like this that makes you feel spoiled. Anna, who spoke very good English, told us about the various tours that we could hire. We actually decided to do a private tour the next day since the place is so HUGE and crowded, it’s easy to get really lost. Having a guide helped us navigate through the Médina. In the evening, we decided to call it an early night and just admired the view from our beautiful shared terrace. We were brought mint tea and cookies as we gazed around at our spectacular view. Alyman, a wonderfully kind young man brought us our tea. He spoke very good English as well. My son loved him as well! He joked with our son and again,

Cant wait to come back!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful! We felt so welcomed by our host I could have lived their for a month. We arrived after 6pm and had to jump right to our tour, and they prepared dinner for us and had it ready when we got back. It was delicious! On top of that, they had the masseuses stay to provide us the most incredible full body massage at 9:30pm! When I say this was an exceptional stay, it was! The room was like a magical fairytale, we felt like princesses. It was so clean, robes and all the necessities provided. The bed was so comfortable and so were the pillows! We had to leave early in the morning to start our desert trek and they sent us with breakfast to go. Truly the most wonderful hosts, and very safe might I add. Welcomed at the door by a bellhop who was so sweet and carried our suitcases to our room and prepared us tea upon arrival. We were provided a history of the Riad and some tips on touring in Morocco to keep safe. I’d come back just to stay here again.

I stayed in several properties while visiting morocco for a few days this past week. The Riad Maya was the top hotel that I stayed in. The service was excellent, the location was central, and the room was immaculate. It was not hard to find as we walked to a couple of other Riads that were harder to get to without a local “guide”. Ana was truly an exceptional hostess. She accommodated all our needs and our last minute changes with grace and always went beyond our expectations. The room itself was absolutely gorgeous. I stayed in a resort, high end hotel and another Riad. The Riad Maya comparatively was truly exceptional. Homemade authentic food catered to your dietary restrictions is hard to beat. With beautiful views from an elegantly appointed parlor to dine in, this place makes your stay unique and most of all relaxing. I will definitely being staying here again.

Such a mixed bag. Property is beautiful. But the energy there is very weird. Basically I feel their main agenda is to make money, even if it means doing things that are like less than above board. We learned from our guide (who we met elsewhere) that when they have clients stay at this Riad, the staff will not notify their clients when they come to the door. so if the guy does not have a clients phone number they’re not able to reach them. We figured out that basically they do this because they are trying to set up their own guides so that they can get kickbacks. We came to learn that the owner has a very bad reputation in the city. in addition, i believe a lot of the 5 star reviews are fake. The Riad has only been open for four years and it has something like 12,000 5 star reviews. The manager in charge pressures people to leave 5 star reviews when they depart. We saw this actually happen due to proximity of our room to the front desk I feel bad for the people who work there they work very hard and I likely are not compensated very well. Whoever the owner is I don’t feel they treat their employees very well. We have a much better experience at the other 2 Riads we stayed at where the staff was warm and friendly and we felt they were well taken care of. The Riad is very beautiful but I would not stay there again.

Beautiful riad in Marrakesh
Beautiful riad, very tastefully decorated with modern amenities, it is spotlessly clean. Lovely comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Lovely French style restaurant on the ground. It is on the edges of Médina, very easy to find yourself around including the souk. Highly recommend when visiting Marrakesh.

This place was STUNNING! We came here the day we left the Sahara and it was just what the doctor ordered. Anna greeted us and we were sat down with tea and immediately given the wifi code - haha it was perfect! Anna went through dinner options with us and the hotel options as we sipped our tea. Our room, the Ambassador Suite, was stunning. This place is an old palace, and it really took my breath away. Dinner was delicious, as was breakfast the following morning. We booked the Hamam before dinner, and it was the perfect end to our crazy Morocco day! Throughout our stay, Anna kept checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. I can honestly say this was my favourite place we stayed in all of Morocco - such hospitality and a visually stunning space. I highly recommend it - thank you to Anna and everyone at the Riad Fess's Maya for such a fantastic stay and for making us feel so welcome and well taken care of!

Palace like property with amazing staff!!
Staff: First things first; a big shout out to Sama for making us feel at home. She took such good care of us; helping us with planning our day in Fes to packing our breakfasts for us. She does go out of the way for all her guests. We loved her and the other staff (Don't remember the name, but he was very courteous as well) Rooms: The rooms are squeaky clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The entire riad gives a palace like feeling and the view from roof-top is amazing!! We spent hours there looking at the Medina. Breakfast: It was the best breakfast we had in Morocco. Your stomach will be full but your heart will still want more of those pancakes Location: Just one con is the location as it is a bit far from the medina; but you can get petit taxis easily to and from the medina. We usually book hotels very close to the city center, so it was a bit far for our liking. Spa and hammam: We booked the hammam and gorage and loved it! It was magical and we highly recommend it. Overall a great riad not to be missed out!!
