I lived the e edgy of the staff all of them were eager to help and share recommendations. They helped us to find places to go and also reserved a taxi to go to the airport at 2:30 am, that was on time and cheaper than an uber. The room was clean an spacious, it even had a huge terrace. Would definitely go back next time in Barcelona.

The hotel was just okay. Pros: staff was super helpful and friendly and location was awesome, everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Cons: room was much smaller than markets online. We had a toddler so make this what you will, but on our floor we had a bunch of young kids going and coming at night and it was super loud and disrupting. Doors did not have soft close so every time someone on the floor left or entered the room we heard a loud bang.

When we checked in, Manuel was very helpful and friendly. Our room was small and cozy but big enough for my 2 kids and I. It was very clean and we loved the big shower. The location was amazing. 2 mins walk to Liceu metro station. 1 min walk to La Rambla and all the restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops and the room was still quiet. Highly recommend! This property was comfortable and offered the basic amenities for the price. Great service from Miriam and the other front desk associates. Loved that it was in the heart of La Rambla and was close to lots of restaurants and shopping and exploring in general. The only thing I did not like was the shampoo or shower gel, more on the cheaper side that you use at airports. Would have loved something a little more upscale.

The only positive part of this stay was the concierge. The room was old and run down. The paint was off the walls in the bathroom, there was rust all over the pipes, the little shelf in the shower was broken, the toilet literally looked disgusting. It is outrageous how this hotel has such good rating.

The thermostat kept requiring a reset at the room sub panel every ~3 minutes. Seems to be a known issue. Room on the 2nd floor (#208) with window opened was very noisy from the bar in the early AM. Had to close the window and suffer from a stuffy room. Spoke to front desk but the hotel was full so couldn't switch rooms. Sink bowl shifts and also leaked slightly. Was told would get a discount that hadn't been approved yet.

Great location… but be cautious.

This location is undeniably fantastic and the service team were great. The quality of the hotel itself was not good. There is no sound proofing at all. You can hear EVERYTHING in the halls, the rooms next to you, and outside. Being close to La Rambla, we didn’t expect it to be silent, the general street noise was expected, but not like this. Cleanliness was very lacking, the walls in the room were extremely dirty from scuff marks and wear. The bathroom was dirty with a lot of grime in the corners, and there was clearly some water damage happening because the baseboards were peeling from the walls and warped, the bathroom door didn’t close properly, and it constantly smelled damp in our room. There were cobwebs in the corners of the room. The hallways and the rooms smelt like they were cleaned with dirty mop water.

Moldy dump. Terrible management. Stay away.

Checked into our room, it smelled funky, started having an asthma attack immediately thereafter. Lots of black mold in the bathroom and it looked like there was water damage elsewhere in the room (regrettably, I didn’t take photos of the rest, I’d love to show you how terrible the accommodations were). The whole place was a dump. The manager wouldn’t give us a different room or a refund for the 3 day advance booking when I explained I couldn’t stay in the one we were given because I COULDN’T BREATHE. (I’m a millennial, I’ve never even ASKED to change rooms before.) Easily the worst travel experience of my life. I’m out like $300 and I’m still using the steroid inhaler over a week later.
