Very Unique property "inside" of a really fabulous restaurant. Great food and all the staff were very helpful (they even had takeaway breakfast for us at 4 am when we left for our flight! Great walkable location in Barrio Alto--the only drawback was the distance to parking and lots of stairs to get there. We will return!

Small and comfy.
Cozy little place, I believe it only has 4 rooms in total; very comfortable though. Our room had a nice size bed, lots of channels and nice stand-on shower bathroom. The lady that helped us was super nice, very friendly and accommodating. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived (it was earlier than check in); but she cleaned the room and was able to let us in earlier. She made us breakfast at arrival and was delicious homemade food, including jam and yogurt. Would recommend but be aware it's small and it's on a very steep hill - as most of Lisbon :)

Lovely hotel and great location!!
Stayed here for a few days and overall, it was very good. The breakfast was great, the staff were good and the hotel itself was clean. Great location, I must say. The only downside was that it doesn't have a front desk and you have to keep chasing staff if you needed something. Overall, it was a good experience.

Short City Break
Took a short City Break & stayed for 4 x nights. Ideally placed very close to Cais do Sodre (metro & overground). Beds comfy & fresh towels & cleaned daily. Great breakfast & food excellent at night.

Great location in Barrio Alto
The hotel is small, no 24-hour lobby but can be reached by phone. Very nice people and service. Good breakfast. Clean, comfortable rooms. The only problem is that all rooms face the reataurant terrace, which means conversation noise in the evenings. Not a huge deal, just an observation. The room was very comfortable, recently renovated, clean modern design but there was no WiFi in the room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great overall stay
Great location if a little gritty! Very central. Check in and out was relatively easy. Room was excellent. Very clean except there were some kind of worms in the toilet when we arrived. Owner said it’s the hot weather and they come up the pipes. Complimentary Continental breakfast was excellent. Not suitable if mobility is a problem as in a steep hill.

6/10 Good

Expedia offers the hotel as being in Chiado district and it is not. It’s in a very sketchy part of the city where people are selling drugs on the street (common in Lisbon but extremely common in this area). Hotel is a bar with rooms and is extremely noisy. Not access to public transportation. One of the cleaning ladies tossed away a souvenir I bought because she thought it was trash! The person at check in was nice and helpful but they don’t have a front desk so good luck if you try to get a hold on any of them to let them know about any issues.

BEST PLACE IN LISBON
What I thought was going to be a negative experience simply because i missed out on seeing the door bell, turned out to be the best place to stay in Lisbon!!! I loved the interior which has a mix of latin and nordic style. Clean, fresh and the food is to die for!!! Staff are also an assett to add to the hotel. They are calm, contained and very friendly especially the lady who checked me in. I was tired and frustrated cause i thought they were closed and she dealt with me in the best possible way as understood i was very tired and couldnt wait to get into my flat shoes!!! It is centrally located to all major attractions, minutes away from the metro and everything else you need to do or see!!!

Amazing location!
Overall, our stay was good and the location of Santa Bica is fab! However, there were a few (albeit relatively small) things that I felt let the hotel down a little and that I wish I'd known in advance... - Although in a very busy district, there was very little noise from outside. However, the acoustics within the hotel made it quite a noisy place to be - the beeping of alarms, people using bathrooms and so on all sounded like it was happening right in our own room, which wasn't great for a light sleeper like myself! - The rooms are lovely, but very basically accessorised (for example, there wasn't even any glasses for us to get a drink of water out of the tap or anything!) and as the hotel isn't always staffed around the clock, you can't always find someone to ask for things - The lighting in the hotel corridor and communal areas is VERY dim. All very nice and ambient but not great for little children or clumsy people like myself who trip over steps when they aren't easy to see! All in all though, if you're looking for somewhere central to stay at a good price and you don't mind the above, it's a fab hotel!
