I stay at this hotel quite regularly but in my most recent stay, I was put in a room with a single connecting door, where I could hear everything happening next door. I rang the reception for room change but was told the hotel was fully booked and the duty manager called to promise me a new room the following day. I believe the hotel forgot to change my room despite my reminding them in the morning. And I was forced to stay in the same noisy room for a second night and when I asked to see the duty manager, he was suddenly not available this night to explain. Very disappointed with Ibis Hotel
Amazing
It was our second night before I figured out what the hotel reminded me of. It is a Millennial. It wants the nice things, but is budget conscious. It is much nicer than it ought to be given the cost, so it cuts out the luxuries where it can. The room is efficient. They pack everything you need into a very small space. That being said, it is a small space. We were traveling as a family with our two children, so we felt the pinch more than a solo traveler or a couple would. The restaurant and breakfast are nice, and our kids really loved that there was a little play room downstairs. The hallway was smokey, but there was no trace of it in our room. The only potential complaint is that the shower door had a little mold growing in the hard to reach places. Also the bathroom door is mostly see through. There is not much privacy to be had there.
Ok.
Stay in Ibis hotel was very nice. Rooms are not very big but properly furnished, clean. Staff was open for help. Services was good.
Modern with an Exciting Vibe
Love the location, the friendly staff, the food.
The hotel rooms were small, no working tables! Roof top bar usually filled with prostitutes; not good for a family visit, my female guest was treated very badly and when i demanded an apology, the manager never got back to me! We had a few drinks in the rooftop bar, i left with the guys and was surprised that she called that she’s been held at the hotel and cannot leave except i am there. The hotel should fix their policy by not letting prostitution and sex tourism happen in their hotel and not treat every woman with disdain and disrespect. I asked for an explanation as to why she’s been held hostage and security manager said they do that when they see “girls” with a guest because they don’t know if she’s stolen from the guest. That’s the most unprofessional experience I’ve had in any hotel.
I'm well used to the Ibis minimalist concept, you'll get a room and a shower and not much else. Since I had plans to spend most of my time at different locations I didn't think it would be a problem but it was terrible. 1. Air con didn't work, despite multiple complaints and a request to speak to the manager who never made contact. 2. wifi is painfully slow, and I wasn't able to log into the premium paid version. 3. Staff have no idea how to engage customers, service in all areas is snails pace, waited over 5 mins for simple vodka and coke, then another 5 mins for my partners bottled liqueur!! 4. Breakfast is a very poor buffet with a no meat policy, (not listed on Hotels.com). Really limited options with insipid eggs as the fresh hot options. 5. had 2 evening meals in the restaurant, frankly they were terrible, unskilled chefs who don't have any care in their work, even when I complained strongly about the shocking food to the waiter and the chef, they still charged me for inedible food. 6. on my last day, at 4am, an Ibis workman was using an angle grinder in the car park for 15 mins...4..am. in the morning. 7 as noted service is slow, even in the rooftop bar, had to wait nearly 10 mins for 2 simple cocktains...in an otherwise empty bar. In conclusion, avoid this place, the cleaning staff are the only good thing about it.
It was great. Excellent breakfast! Good service. We especially want to thank Kelvin Kinoti for going beyond his duty, showing interest and being very helpful in a project.
