An amazing building, a modern renovation respectful of its past. Patricia was a patient and attentive host who went out of her way to please. You need to be fit to climb the stairs but it’s all part of sharing in the heritage of this building/school/home. The town is small and has the characteristic steep lanes. We’d recommend finding a spot the locals gather and getting to know a bit about life from their perspective. We’ll be recommending this one to our friends.

Quasi quasi, ho pensato, evito di fare recensioni, così meno persone possono conoscere questo palazzo, ristrutturato con gusto e misura, alle porte di un piccolo paese incastonato tra i boschi. Gli spazi comuni dedicati ai pasti sono stupendi, così come le camere (ho avuto l’onore di visitarne alcune). Poiché trovo che la gentilezza sia un bonus sottovalutato, che si parli di un resort o di un autogrill, devo segnalare Cornelia, padrona di casa che trasuda gentilezza

Tolles Haus mit Geschichte
Sehr schönes Herrenhaus mit spannender Geschichte, hübsche saubere Zimmer, sehr gastfreundlich, gutes Frühstück, tolle Aussicht, feines italienisches Restaurant gleich unterhalb des Hauses (unbedingt Plätze reservieren), mittelalterlicher Dorfkern und romantische Gässchen.

Off the beaten track
This little b and b was one of our favourite experiences in Tuscany! It is in a tiny village (Tatti) in the southern part of Tuscany. Our hostess, Maria, welcomed us after a long day of travelling. She keeps everything so tidy and is such a warm and hospitable person. It was a rainy windy evening and once we were inside we immediately felt at home. In the morning we had one of the best breakfasts in Italy. Maria sources out the best bread. There is a wide assortment of jams, fresh fruit and organic yogourt with granola. We had the privilege of spending some of our morning talking with Maria who gave us a breif history of the area. We could have spent all day talking with her. This b and b is perfect for those who don't want the trendy spas and agrotourismos. It is clean, quiet and peacefully simple. Bed was super comfortable.

Im 3./4. Stock einer alten Residenz gelegene Unterkunft mit individuell gestaltenten Zimmern, stylisch, tolle Umgebung, super-ruhig, sauber, idyllisch! Und tolles Frühstück!
