Try the Villas
We ended up staying in the villas which was a great choice. It is convenient for a car out front but quiet and private without walls being connected. The restaurant is a short distance away and provides great food at good prices. Monument Valleys entrance is about 8 minutes down the road. The view at sunrise is incredible from the villas.

Enjoyed stay. Loved the screening of John Ford/John Wayne movies shot in Monument Valley. Including the cabin John Wayne stayed on the property during movie shoots. Enjoyed swimming in the heated pool when it was 5 degrees F outside.

Classic old west
Like a stay in the old west. Hotel is older so you have to kind of go with the flow. I could imagine sitting in the on-site diner next to John Wayne. Has the furniture been updated? Maybe not, but who cares. Museum and trading post give the place fantastic history. View and setting are amazing. Gorgeous sunset was only surpassed by unbelievable sunrise. Enjoyable stay.
