Most shops open from 10 AM to 8 PM, with the high street becoming wonderfully pedestrian-only on weekends. Nearby Anguk Station connects you to Seoul's excellent subway system when your shopping bags get too heavy to carry.

Gangnam-gu
Gangnam-gu delivers Seoul's most glamorous experience with sleek glass skyscrapers housing luxury boutiques and corporate giants. Shop designer brands on Apgujeong Rodeo Street or explore the massive underground COEX Mall complex. Traditional tea houses serve omija tea alongside modern fusion cafés, creating a diverse dining scene in historic settings. Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun Hotels & Residences
"You have to book your time for the pool, which was odd. There’s no spa. The gym is small and there’s no real outdoor space and the room were pretty compact. However the staff was super friendly and helpful and I would recommend recommended more for couples or individuals."

LOTTE CITY HOTEL MYEONGDONG
"Great stay"
Lotte Hotel World
"Although the hotel has been around for quite some time, it has been beautifully renovated and feels very modern, clean, and well maintained. The view of Seokchon Lake was especially impressive! The food was also excellent, with high-quality ingredients and dishes that were both well prepared and delicious. The staff were consistently professional, attentive, and friendly throughout my stay. Although I wasn’t traveling with children myself, the hotel seemed very family-friendly and well suited for guests with young children. If I had to mention one very minor downside, it would be the sound from the hallway. I didn’t hear any noise from the neighboring rooms, but sounds from the corridor could occasionally be heard inside the room. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily stay here again if I have the opportunity."
Hotel Gracery Seoul
"Our air conditioning at room does not work properly and they told us it's normal and to just close the window so the heat will not go on"
LOTTE CITY HOTEL GURO
"It is just okay overal. However 2 nights straight the neighbor next door was so loud at 2-3 am in the morning."
Toyoko Inn Seoul Gangnam
"Unknown fan noise all night long. I turned off all lights and the fan switch, but it still went on."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Seoul
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Seoul is between January and March, when hotel prices tend to be lower. To fully appreciate the city's rich history and culture, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, visitors can explore significant landmarks such as ancient castles, captivating museums, and tranquil temples, while also enjoying the vibrant shopping districts and delightful cafés. This period offers great value for money, allowing travellers to immerse themselves in the urban and historical essence of Seoul without overspending.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Seoul, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could find out about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don’t miss opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, keeping you informed about price drops or availability changes for your preferred accommodations. This way, you'll be ready to book your last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay in a hotel in Seoul. For those seeking unique accommodation, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll offer alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to secure the best deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Seoul's superb public transport system, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
