Not the cleanest, not modern and a noisy air vent
I'm very pedantic about how clean a room should be, I dont want to sleep or stay in other peoples dirt. There was still pee on the back of the toilet seat, the large mirror behind the sink had some sort of spray of something like toothpaste, there was something sprayed on the wall that could have been wiped up but wasnt. There is ZERO info in the room. No menu for the restaurant, no information about the hotel and it's services. The room just felt impersonal. Dont get me started about the air vent that randomly starts making the most annoying noise 20 seconds on/ 20 seconds off for hours during the day and night! The walls are paper thin and the doors are hard to close which means you hear people slamming their doors shut at all hours. I was surprised by the hotel rating. I expeceted better. There are definitely better hotels in that price range. Ive been 5 times now and wont return to this hotel. The location is good and the staff helpful.

very comfortable bedding and was in a fairly convenient location considering we are surrounded by corporate buildings. there is a kalguksu restaurant right outside the hotel and it is indeed a "Matjip." i highly recommend saving one meal for this place that has only 3 items on the menu. do note there's no concierge so all matters are handled by the front desk and queue can be long. the staff are friendly and helpful and i could get help easily as long as you don't mind the wait.
