We were the only guests at the chateau. The property is beautiful and the owner very hospitable and welcoming. There are 4 peacocks that roam the chateau grounds which are beautiful. In the morning the owner presented us with a gorgeous breakfast in his chateau dining room which was very elegant. All considered, we would love to stay at Chateau de Chantore again. 5 stars.

Beautiful chateau, gardens are gorgeous, great hosts, great breakfast, I can’t say enough good things about this place. One thing to consider is there is no afternoon or evening dining within a walkable distance. You must drive to town.

This was the highlight of our stay in France. The chateau is stunning and Bernard, the host, was very friendly. You feel transported to a different time. It is remarkable. The room was spacious, comfortable and the view of the Mont St Michel from our room was the icing on the cake. The breakfast felt like something from a movie. The absolute best place to stay.

Quaint chateau that won't disappoint.
This chateau was AMAZING! Super clean, the owner was probably the best host we've had at any of the chateau's we've ever stayed at and the decorations here were easily the best we've seen. The owner is an antique collector and everything on display was perfect for the era of the house. The amenities were superb and the breakfast was fantastic as well. Not just the normal bread and juice that you get from most of the other chateau's. There were a selection of jam's, cheese and bread. As well as egg's and many of the jam's and juices were made on the property which gave it a more homey feeling. We will definitely be back to this place soon. It was too perfect to not do it again. We only spent 1 night here and will most definitely be spending more than that next time and I'd suggest you do the same.

I can't even describe how beautiful this property was. The chateau is exactly like the pictures and the grounds are gorgeously kept. The breakfasts were delicious with every item you could want; served in the lovely dining room with fresh flowers everywhere. Bernard was the perfect host, always there to look after your every need! We happily recommend staying here.

Wonderful stay at this 18th century Chateau. We were greeted by Bernard, the owner, who did us best to make us feel at home. Breakfast was wonderful and the walk through the garden, heavenly. This is a place to unwind and relax, no tv here but there is wifi for those so inclined. But escape the 21st century for a while, its worth it.

Best Breakfast Ever!
Very friendly host who welcomed us with refreshing cider and made sure the breakfast was absolutely fantastic! Best breakfast we have had this year with organic apple juice, apple cake and tasty special scrambled eggs. Followed with a relaxing walk around the lake with swans and peacocks. Highly recommend and would definitely visit again.
