Difficult to find because the map location is not correct. I spent over 45 minutes searching for the location. I had to look at the exterior photo to find the building. Lucky operator was there to check me in when I arrived as I missed these are rooms available off one corridor on the third floor of a building and not managed. Most frustrating was the bathroom. The shower stall walls were removed and replaced with a curtain. The 2x2 stall is too small because as soon as water is turned on a vacuum is created and the curtain sucks in toward you. The shared bath with a shower with walls was not accessible with my card access key. — It is conveniently located and easy to get around once you know where to go. The woman cleaning was nice and did a good job.

Excellent room, great location!
Close to the Duomo, museums, & palazzo. Literally on Piazza San Lorenzo. Room was comfortable & AC was working great. Looks like recently renovated and not quite completed; shower & sink fixtures were still loose, but plenty of hot water. Otherwise, very clean and good.

Great location and clean room
Hotel is right in the city Center and walking distance to everything. Everything in room was clean and fresh. Only thing that could have been better was the bathroom; tiny sink and shower with hardly any pressure at all.

Big disappointment
Unfortunately this place was a huge disappointment. We expected simple accommodation but not a hostel type arrangement. You could hear people coming and going and moving about in the corridor. The plumbing is so old and dodgy that noises can be heard for about 5 minutes after running the tap or flushing the toilet. The decor was far from desirable. All in all we couldn't bear to stay a second night so we ended up checking in to another hotel the next day. Only plus is the location.

wouldn't do it again
You get what you pay for. We had to wait 10 min. for the receptionist to come when we arrived. its a simple room, there are no toiletries and the room is not cleaned for the complete stay. Is well located but that is probably the on;y good thing about it.

The so called “hotel” name is “San Lorenzo Number 7“ and I wrote hotel in quotation marks on purpose since this hotel really not deserve in not under any circumstances to be called a hotel. We were horrified when we got there. First, to find this hotel isn’t possible since he doesn’t have any sign on it, just a small sticker on the doorbell. The building has a horrible smell, the elevator didn’t worked and we had to carry our luggage to the 3th floor by our self. When we enter the hotel, we realized that it’s absolutely not a hotel, just a 3 or 4 rooms attached together with a bathroom in the end. Our room wasn’t ready when we checked in, it was dirty, the bed wasn’t organized, there were trash in the trash cans, the linens was not organized and the toilet were disgusting. In addition, the room In general was obsoletely inappropriate for hosting. The doors were broken, there were no curtains on the window (the curtain pole was broken) and also the blinds, It was impossible to close them during the night. There were ants on the floor and on the bed, the walls were covered with dirt and mosquitos bodies, there weren’t soaps to shower with (we had to buy it by our own), there was mold on the walls. If that’s not enough, during the night there was a noise of some kind of an alarm from the reception that prevented us from sleep.

Great value hotel in excellent central location
We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view over San Lorenzo Piazza. Breakfast is provided at a nearby cafe, which you get a voucher for on check in (pastry, coffee and orange juice). The bathroom is located externally from the room, just across the hall. This didn't bother us too much, especially considering the value for money of a nice room and great location. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful. They printed off tickets for us and looked after our luggage for the day when we checked out. The location of the hotel is excellent just a few minutes walk from many of the main sights including the Basillica Santa Maria di Fiore. There are lots of nice bars and restaurants and shops also in the area. The hotel in less than 10 minute walk from the train station. The hotel is within a residential building, so could be a little more difficult to find if you are expecting a more traditional setup, but we didn't have any problems. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been longer. Hope to be back soon!

Great and very central!
The hotel is right in the centre at Florence, just a 3 minute walk away from the station. The place is very convenient and located right next to San Lorenzo Church. There is no reception and you need to make an appointment in order to check in and they will meet you. However, we had a late check in and we communicated by email. Our key was left in the lobby and we had no problem finding it. The room was clean and neat and we had it overlooking the plaza. Limin was my contact and he was really helpful! telling us the places to go and visit! The only downside was the check out time is at 10:30am maximum and the breakfast is outside the property in one of the local cafes. You get a voucher from the hotel and get a pastry and a drink of your choice.

Fantastic room with an amazing veiw!
The view was amazing and the room was definitely adaquite. The only issue I had was communication with the owners prior to my arrival. Contact is only through phone which was difficult as I live in Canada and making international calls aren't cheap. It also took me 5+ phone calls before I finally reached someone. But after all was said and done the hotel staff were great and very accommodating. I would still stay here again. I just wish they gave an email for ease of contact.

The hotel was close when we arrive. We call the phone number write in the voucher and the person who hangup doesnt spreak english. Well, we went to a little restaurant near to ask about the hôtel open hours and they said that since they change direction, nothing work there. Many person arrived face to face with a locked door.

What you get for the price! Which isn't bad at all
Stay was nice! The gentlemanly that attended us was extremely nice and he was probably the only reason why I would rate it so high! The thing is that it's more of a bunch of rooms in a huge apartment rather than a hotel! Room was ok, small tv which I guess is expected, cleaned bathroom and bed! Pillows sucked though! Location is the best value for the price!!!

Excellent location. Little hard to find
Stayed there one night. This place is located next to San Lorenzo Church and close to everything. Yet, sort of hard to find because 1) there is no sigh of hotel...even inside of the building that this B&B located. Hard to find which floor. 2) They dont answer you. We called when we got there to ask exact location. They didnt pick up. We knock the door. They opened after 5 mins. Confirmed to check in at 2pm but the room was not ready. 13:30 check out time is convenient. Our package included breakfast but didnt receive any. Room was nice but can be noisey because of location. Supermarket CONAD is a step away. They got many things in good price.

Just right for the price.
We stayed in Piazza San Lorenzo, which is a perfect location for tourists. The place is no frills but it was very clean and the towels were changed each day. In the evening the piazza was very noisy because it is a hang-out for teenagers but I wore earplugs and slept through it all. Coupons valid at the neighborhood bar for a breakfast of cappuccino, croissant, and juice were given to us each day and that was great. The manager spoke English and Italian (and Chinese) and was nice and very helpful.

4/10 Fair

Fair for the money
Great location. Close to the train station, duomo, galleria de academia, and ponte vecchio. No front desk so it made it challenging to check in. You need to coordinate to check in ahead of time. Old building but everything is old around there. Ok for the money but is more a hostel than a hotel.

Nice hotel closed to all the sights
Everything was so good! Only one thing causes us inconvenience - if to open the window at night you will hear all the outside sounds (cars, cleaning machines, someone singing very loudly etc.), but if not to open the window it will be stuffy

Good location and eateries nearby
We had a pleasant stay albeit never seeing the owner. The hotel itself was very hard to find. Better signage needed! However once there the room was clean and comfortable. Easy walk from the train station and the main sights. Had a good night's sleep. Good eating places and a market across from the hotel. Overall an enjoyable stay, thank you.

Decent room in great location
San Lorenzo 7 offers a decently-sized room with modern IKEA furniture right in the midst of the sights, for a very reasonable price. It is on Piazza San Lorenzo, literally next door to the church of San Lorenzo, the Laurentian library, and the Medici chapels. The room was nicely furnished with modern IKEA furniture. The bathroom was strangely sparse. In the largest bathroom we've had in Italy, they still installed a tiny corner shower and a sink the size of an airplane sink, leaving tons of empty space. There are no towel hooks or racks, no bath mat, and no place to put your toiletries. Service is minimal and barely existent. I was e-mailed "self-check-in" instructions that were changed without telling me, leaving us scouring the building for the key that was supposed to be left for us for 20 minutes before a staff member showed up late to check us in. He was nice enough and gave us our breakfast vouchers and the WiFi password, and then left. We didn't see a staff person again for the subsequent four nights we stayed there, although there was housekeeping. You're very much left to your own devices to come and go as you please. When our bed broke (the IKEA slats had not been installed properly and my husband fell through), we fixed it ourselves because there were no staff on site. Thank goodness we've built a lot of IKEA in our day.
